Pokémon It's the Pokemon thread - Part 2

Yes I only use a core 6 some will rotate some in and out but it's usually a set group I don't see what's wrong with that many players do this. Why should I stop buying a game I enjoy just because I like to use select characters. Should anyone who uses scorpion never have got a game after the first mortal kombat.

My hissy fit as you put it was the reports (that have now changed) that the pal region was being screwed over by the wait time. I don't see why that had to happen. Especially if the actual game itself is a worldwide release. I haven't even pre ordered the game so the launch day buy was always up I'm the air.

You also seem to keep insisting I'd beat the game in a week. I do know how to enjoy these and have never rushed through one yet. As for broadening my horizons I enjoy seeing the designs and love exploring the regions so Im not some narrow minders gen-oner who insists the original 151 are the greatest and only true games I just have my personal favourites.

Yes I admit I may have come across as a bit pissed but it was at the Ida of the pal players getting screwed over again like we always used to.

that being said, nothing wrong with even attempting to try new pokemon though. There *gasp* could actually be newbies that you end up enjoying better.

I hope if that's the case that we're given the second starter somewhat still early in the game since I've never been a fan of getting a second starter after you've completed all of the missions and story for the game, thus only being able to level up the second starter through just either rare candies or battling the Pokemon League over and over again.

This game is already shaping out to be pretty impressive with all of these additions.

Honestly, I feel like the only thing that's kind of dragging this game down is the disappointing new Villainous Team...Team Flare, who look like to be the most generic of all of the villainous teams in the Pokemon world.

No Scarecrow King this is a first, at least in this way, I don't recall getting a second starter before. Maybe that was just me.

What do you guys think about the Mega forms (pic in the article)? I think it'll be interesting to make them transform into them.

In Emerald, you could get Chikorita, Cyndaquil, or Totodile after completing the Hoenn Pokedex.

You know, I wish that they'd make one Pokemon game someday that follows the route that Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal did by presenting a large and new arc for players to explore after they've defeated the Pokemon League for the first time.

It gets kind of old pretty quick when the only things that you can really do after challenging and defeating the league for the first time is just exploring a few new cities/locations that you couldn't before and even taking on a battle factory or frontier.

Honestly, if Pokemon HeartGold and Soulsilver had a story line that involved using their trademark legendary pokemon as part of the game's plot and that the villainous team actually had a more stronger arc to play out, then it'd be a freaking near perfect game for me.

I hope Team Flair poses a hell of a threat without the usual take over the word thing and that they pose a threat that lasts even beyond the Pokemon League. Maybe they even have their pockets in special tournament in the vein of the Pokemon World Tournament. Maybe their leader is a top-notch Pokemon trainer who's an expert in the studies of Pokemon and has a lot of knowledge on Pokemon and tactics and stuff.

I'm sorry but that's fake, it has to be. That's mean and you can't say that. First all I know that the ideas he mentioned aren't all the idea we've had. It certainly isn't the one had for a console Pokémon game. He may read ideas to his team to see what they think but to the extent that "quote" had, I ain't buying it.

Hopefully nothing, because that's precisely what I want to do. Play up until you can first use the bank, upload the starter, and restart. I like playing through these games with all 3 starters in my team.

Hmm...never thought about that. I would imagine there may be a small safeguard to stop from doing that at least immediately.

Think about it, in the other games you had to travel a certain amount before being able to trade your Pokémon away. I'm sure they'll do something like that here too.

New CoroCoro scans. The stage 1 forms of the starters are revealed, Froakie's is the coolest. Mewtwo has a second Mega form, Garchomp has a Mega form. Pictures of other Pokemon, looks like 2 fossil Pokemon since one looks like a little T-Rex (Rock/Dragon apparently) and the other a Brontosaurus (Rock/Fairy probably).
