Froakie's stage one looks great. Better than Fennekin's, though I want to use that new seahorse pokemon as my water type. So I'm sticking with Fennekin.

Tyrantrum is deliciously Greymon. Guess that just goes with the rest of the Digimon-related content Pokèmon XY is bringing.

From Serebii: "Aurorus has a move called Freeze Dry, which is an Ice-type move which freezes the opponent but is said to be super effective against Water-type Pokémon."

This is pretty significant if Ice is now super-effective against Water. It's already one of the best offensive types, now Water/Ground will have two 4x weaknesses in addition to Grass.

No I think it's more of a one-off move. The name Freeze Dry says it all, it's ice mixed with fire or something.

Don't think it's been mentioned yet, but the Overworld will not have 3D in X & Y, only the battles will.

I'm fine with that, not everything needs to have eye-popping 3D. If the battles look good I'm sold.

hmmm Tyrantrum is a rock dragon, depending on when he is available in the game i think i may have found a replacement/rotation for my rhydon

You use Rhydon? He has way too many weaknesses for me, and even a few 4x weaknesses.

Rhyperior has the Solid Rock ability which reduces super-effective moves by 50%.

Question. I'm raising a Growlithe in Fire Red that I'm planning on transferring over to my Soul Silver using the Pal Park. The learnset for Growlithe is different between the two versions; if I level him up past the point that he would learn a move before I transfer him, would he learn the move the first time he levels up?

bulbapedia can be your friend. They have all the movesets for each generation.

yeah, I just didn't think about the new learnsets. I'm using the Growlithe for my Fire Red game anyway. I want to get the earthquake TM and transfer it over too since I already used the one from Soul Silver.

Even if your Growlithe "misses the opportunity" to learn a move before/after transfering, you can always use HG/SS's Move Relearner.
