New Synopsis

Based on the CIA analyst created by espionage master Tom Clancy, “Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit” is a blistering action thriller that follows Ryan (Chris Pine, “Star Trek&#8221 from his quiet double-life as a veteran-turned-Wall Street executive to his all-out initiation as a hunted American agent on the trail of a massive terrorist plot in Moscow.

I think so, Maxwell Moore was a new character he'd created and intended to make a series out of and he encounters a character from the Jack Ryan books.

I finally saw a trailer for this last night with American Hustle it looks pretty entertaining, I think I'll check it out just to see if Pine can hold the film on his own, I like him so I hope it does well.

I'm surprised it's taken this long for Pine to have his own star vehicle. I thought for sure that after 2009, he would have had one.

Nice to see tv spots running. Have been catching them quite often the last week.

I am really looking forward to this and I think moving it back will end up being very good for the film. Way too much competition at Christmas this year.

Tom Hardy was attached to a Sam Fisher movie, and Kevin Costner was attached to play the same character he plays in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, so it seems the answer is yes.

But I haven't heard anything concrete about the Sam Fisher movie for a while.
