it looks really good...gonna see this tonight

Really enjoyed this. Took a while to get going but its good once it does. Pine was great as Ryan, portrayed the naiveity very well. Costner was great, really enjoyed the action and I thought Branagh did an overall great job acting and directing. 8/10

Enjoyed the movie but was never fully hooked into it, especially the last third of the movie.

Disappointing opening at the box office, fighting for fourth or fifth place. It has a $60 million budget but will probably earn $45 million domestically.

That hurts Paramount's plans to start a shared movie universe with a Tom Clark film starring Tom Hardy and Costner.

I'm disappointed by how this film kinda comes off as passable. Welp, time to watch the Oscar contenders instead.

The marketing seemed shaky to me, and focused entirely too much on Costner instead of Pine. It is as if they didn't have faith in their new Jack Ryan.

Wasn't it supposed to come out in December?

I think it lost some steam by moving it to January.

I enjoyed it. Nothing more or less than I expected, just a good afternoon out at the movies. Which is sometimes a lot to ask for in January, so I'm glad for this.

It just depends on how well it holds through the next week or so. There's only one new movie opening next week, and most of the audience seeing Jack Ryan is skewing older. Older audiences, if they like a movie, tend to sustain a movie better in the long run than a younger demographic.

I thought this was a decent film. I'm not all that much into the Jack Ryan films period so I don't think this one did the franchise poorly. It's one that works well for a rebooted franchise. I don't think it's a must see film, but a good rental.

It was a good old fashioned, really solid spy thriller.

I think with a $17 mill opening it can close over $50 mill and do really well overseas.

Chris Pine is now the fourth actor to portray Tom Clancy's CIA analyst Jack Ryan, and he does a fine job as the man who always
finds himself in the middle of the action.

The film does suffer from a been there done that feel, and some moments are just to conveinient, but it is boosted
by a dry Kevin Costner as Ryans CIA mentor,Keira Knightley's charm and beauty and Director and co star Kenneth Branagh as villain
Viktor Cherevin, and some slick action sequences.
There is also a Bond like feel flowing through the film which isnt a bad thing.
I half expected the villain to say:No Mr.Bon.....i mean...Mr.Ryan i expect you to die!!!

Scale of 1-10 a 7½

It was good. Kind of generic with no real surprises. However the three main leads gave solid performances. I do think it's a good kickoff to reboot the franchise.

I had a passing interest in seeing this but after finding out some of it was filmed in my home city of Liverpool, UK I think I will have to see it now. Always like seeing my home city in movies as its a rarity.

Loved seeing The Albert Dock in Captain America.

I think it's funny that Kevin Costner has another movie coming out where it looks like HE is playing Jack Ryan.

So is Paramount satisfied with the OW figure? Or will they be rebooting the franchise yet again several years down the road?

Not based on any of Clancy's book and its not a good movie? Big surprise!

Hopefully, they'll make The Cardinal of the Kremlin next.
