He wrote one of drafts yes but then again there's this duo called Purvis and Wade.
No, actually Marc Forster brought in his fave writer during the writer's strike.
And he literally wrote the lines with Craig on set. A true story.

he rewote purvis and wade. The WGA gave him top billing on writing credit.Yeah the writer's strike can be blamed still he wrote draft prior to strike.

Craig has mentioned that before.Craig has hinted at being disappointed with QoS as fans were.

Please. QOS was amputated by the writer's strike. I wouldn't slight Haggis for that even though I don't hold him in high regards.

Yeah.

Re: QOS, I do think EON should've held it back to late 2010. Strike did the film 0 favors and productions should've been held over to '09 once the smoke cleared

There are some issues, but the writing isn't the major problem with the film. The writer's strike didn't cause all the action scenes to be a confusing, jumbled, poorly shot, badly edited mess.

One of the very trusted members over at Commander Bond posted this earlier this morning;

Right, I've done a lot of digging and calling in favours.

I've confirmed that these emails and apparent complaints about the script are from much earlier this year. The plot has changed substantially since then through six months of rewrites by four writers.

Issues have been solved to the satisfaction of the Bond team and the studios.

Of course, it's all down to personal taste about what they've kept, but trust me that it can't be as bad as feared

Did the leaked stuff actualy reveal if Oberhauser was actualy Blofeld in disguise? Would be kind of a waste to finaly get the character back, only for him to be used this way.

Thank god! Who posted that? I hang there as well, but I am at work and I don't dare go on Commander Bond at work given the website's design.

Vauxhall posted that.

I sincerely hope this isn't Craig's last film, I think he has one more good film in him after this before hanging up the tux.

Yeah, he'll be back. I like the proposed ending. Because it continues to treat Bond as a human character who goes on a journey.

if QOS was effected by the strike how come TDK who came out the same year didn't? I guess because BB was in 2005.....they had some extra time or did I miss something

Because The Nolan Bat films used the same director and writers of whom had a vision or a plan of how his story would prorgress. Bond films, normally, go film by film, usually aren't connected, and rarely share threads within' eachother or have a progressive arc in nature (and if they do, they're small).

When new Bond films start production (or writing) they usually don't have a clue what direction they're going to go in until they come up with an idea they like and approve of.

At least that's my take on it. Quantum was also being re-written during filming which also affected dialogue and key scenes and stuff getting cut.

TDK had already finished filming by the time of the writer's strike (it was shot summer 2007). Aside from some minor second unit filming, QOS began principle production in January 2008. Totally different production cycles.

I believe TDK was in post when the strike happened. But even then, I think the rules during the strike are that the only people allowed to touch the script are the director and perhaps the lead. I remember Craig saying something like he and Forster were stuck working dialogue on-set, and "a writer I'm not". For TDK, Chris Nolan's a writer anyway, so no problem.

Yep.

In fact, Mendes will be the first director to direct back-to-back Bond movies since John Glen directed all those 80s Bond movies.

The latest cache of confidential documents leaked from Sony's archives includes the assumed names actors and actresses use to check into hotels and book car services.
Daniel Craig, Natalie Portman, Ice Cube and Jessica Alba will all be forced to switch their pseudonyms after their details were published online by the so-called Guardians Of Peace hacker group.

  • Tom Hanks - 'Harry Lauder' and 'Johnny Madrid'
  • Sarah Michelle Gellar - 'Neely O’Hara'
  • Tobey Maguire - 'Neil Deep'
  • Natalie Portman - 'Lauren Brown'
  • Clive Owen - 'Robert Fenton'
  • Rob Schneider - 'Nazzo Good'
  • Taye Diggs - 'Scott Diggs' (his real name)
  • Jude Law - 'Mr Perry'
  • Daniel Craig - 'Olwen Williams' (after his grandfather, Olwyn Williams)
  • Jessica Alba - 'Cash Money'
  • Ice Cube - 'Darius Stone' (his name in XXX2) and 'O’Shea Jackson' (his actual name)
  • Debra Messing - 'Ava Harper'

Mendes: Three months ago, you lost the drive containing the identity of almost every actor embedded in fancy hotels across the globe. A list which, in the eyes of our allies, never existed. So if you'll forgive me, I think you know why you're here.
Pascal: So are we to call this civilian oversight?
Mendes: No, we're to call this retirement planning. Your studio only has the highest respect for you and your many years of service. When your current posting is completed you will be awarded nothing. Congratulations.

Most of those names seem like actors having fun to me, I mean "Cash Money" and "Johnny Madrid?" Not to mention using the names of characters you've played or your real name lol.

But that isn't the question. The question is what qualifies as a strong score on IMDB.

What exactly is a "strong" score? Very few of the Bond movies are even over 7.0 on IMDb, let alone 8.0.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!! Don't ever joke about something like that again!

Yeah. Its bad enough Babs and Mike inherited Cubby's poor lapse of judgement in accepting musical acts to do the theme and rejecting the good one for the meh ones

Though I don't want it to happen, my bet is on Sam Smith. Had the same gut feeling reading his rumor as I did when Adele's rumors for Skyfall started popping up. Just makes logical sense given his quick shot to fame in recent months.
