Sam Smith is fine. I just don't think he'd fit Bond. But then again I didn't expect Chris Cornell to produce my favorite Bond song so you never know.

I don't want Adele (or is it Adehwle?) to return. I've had enough of her mangling her words with her cockney accent:

It'd be nice if Muse finally got the chance. They were rumored for Skyfall too, and watching some fanmade vids with songs like 'Supremacy' makes me think that Muse could definitely make an awesome Bond theme. (Depending on what they're looking for that is, if they want more Shirley Bassey/Adele type things then Muse wouldn't necessarily be the first musicians that come to mind.)

I really hope we don't get anything like that. It should be the best composition, not just the most fitting tune a popular band can devise. There are plenty of singers who could front the thing.

On a related note, how awesome would it have been if Frank Sinatra did the theme song for one of the Connery-era films? The drawback is so much manliness in one movie would cause the women in the audience to grow beards and penises, but other than that, it would have been great.

Nah. I was all for Adele doing a Bond theme since the first time I heard her on the radio. Regardless of whether one likes her music, Idk how anyone could hear Adele sing and not immediately think "Bond theme". She's got the perfect singing voice and style for it.

Lana Del Rey as well, but she has a tendency to mumble and seems like she might be a pain to work with so I doubt she'll land the gig.

As for Sam Smith, let's not get carried away. "Best James Bond song ever"...it's a bit premature for that kind of judgement.
