No, i use two pics of course.

If you want to send them to you, just write me a PM so we dont flood here.

I love how it broke the DVD records. Haters be damned, alot of people liked this movie. Just like how it made over 2 billion dollars worldwide. And people still claimed it made money because of 3D. That's part of it, but to have legs like that alot of people liked it.

i understand that. but did you made the second angle or did you find both pics on the internet?:yay:

so its not the same 3D like in the theater. you made up the stereo depth?

what kind of settings did you use?

No, the 3D in the cinemas is Dolby Digital 3D, and IMAX 3D. What I use is good old Anaglyph 3D. Find Callipygian3D and you will be able to make shot's yourelf.

you have 2 important settings when it comes to 3D:
-Inter Ocular Distance:
the distance between the cameras.

-stereoscopic convergence:
The stereoscopic convergence is adjusted in stereoscopic imaging equipment to increase or decrease the stereoscopic convergence angle. Two imaging devices are disposed symmetrically relative to a median optical axis to generate video signals representing images of an observed scene. Depending on the required stereoscopic convergence angle, two image "read windows" are positioned symmetrically relative to the median optical axis, each being defined by a first pixel and a last pixel of a processed image line.

the funny part is that we complained that it was not enough promoted. and it true. they didnt promote he movie like the always do with blockbusters. its all over the internet where people were asking where Avatar was.

Avatar was a word of mouth movie.
Exactly which is why it didn't have a very strong opening weekend or even second weekend. It was because people kept hearing about how good it was.

I didn't even know it existed untill like a month before it came out. Even in 2D this movie is still amazing.

What's this about another version of the movie on DVD that changes the story?

I had no idea that the Blue-Ray version of this also included a regular DVD version as well. It's a two-fer! :D Considering the difference in retail (at the moment anyhow) is a mere three or four dollars between the Blue-Ray set and the other, why would you buy the regular version at all? It would be better to cough up the extra money and buy the blue ray anyhow knowing that it's all going to be blue ray down the road and this wil be one movie you won't have to go out and buy again. :p

Yep! i was surprised, by that.

I was just going to rent Avatar on netflix. But then my dad bought it on Blu-ray. I then noticed it also had the DVD

so everyone who said that it only made that money because of 3D tickets will now say that it made that money on BR and DVD because of CGI. yet the CGI looked like a videogame in november 2009.

guys the movie is made for the masses and the masses love this movie. end of story.

'' the problem with avatar is that you watch the movie only once''
i guess not.

I bought it Wednesday and watched it at least 5 times.
I didn't find the CGI looking like a 2009 videogame, you could see some "glitch" here and there but overall it was pretty clean.

I'm pretty sure he wasn't saying the CGI looked like a 2009 video game, but that back in 2009 people were claiming it did, and now the same people will say the CGI is what pulled in the money for BR and DVD sales.

What's this about another version of the movie on DVD that changes the story?

not really changing the story but expanding it, theres a couple of scenes that would really helped the character development of Jake and Grace

avatar is my new 'show' blu ray movie. it used to be iron man which looks amazing on blu ray.

is high definition only good on the CGI parts or also on the live action parts?

because its not a suprise that the CGI is so clean since computers allways make it 100% clean.

well I saw AVATAR on a LED tv at a electronics store yesterday and it looked stunning, it was shown in real time

so since avatar is not on 3D blu-ray that means that when the 3D tv's will be out in the stores for demo they will not show Avatar right?

FOX should make a 3D version for the stores to see how it looks. ;)
