Superman Returns James Marsden Made the Right Decision

As a Cyclops fan I was disappointed when Marsden left X3 for SR. But considering how X3 turned out and seeing the role James got to play - I now have no doubt that James made the right call.

I expected Richard White to be the "jealous boyfriend" stereotype with a minor part to play- I was very suprised by his significant and somewhat-complex role.

Good on you James. Well done.

Well, I think the reason Cyclops got the shaft in X3 was because of Marsden's decision. I'm still holding out hope for X4 and that Cyclops will be back, albeit with a different actor no doubt.

Originally this guy (Jim Caviezial) was slated to play Scott Summers/Cyclops. He dropped out due to Frequency

Yeah.....I heard that FOX didn't even want Cyclops to show up AT ALL. To just have had him die off camera in between X2 and 3.

What are you all talking about?! Superman Returns was the SEQUEL to X-men The Last Stand. Cyclops had his sight healed by Jean, and decided to dump her after she damn near killed him, and then he moved on to Metropolis and gets a chance at Lois, who's not nearly as schizo. C'mon think about it. The guy seems like he knows what its like to have his girl have feelins for another guy, and the guy knows how to fly a plane.

It's not a coincidence! Not a dream, not a hoax! Cyclops LIVES!

yeah..he did a good job! I expect him to have an evben more expanded and different role in the sequel. He may become a jeolous tragic villian....?

He was one of the best parts of Superman. I still believe Scott Summers survived. They used a different special effect for him. Jean had no reason to kill him, though she did have motive for all her other murders.

Even Marsden has suggested that it is left open for his return and that is why they cut away and didn't show him break apart.

Cyclops lives and in Superman, Richard got the girl!
