I think at the end kid will make a telephatic connection with Superman.

Supes will hear his voice.

And the kid will say

"You have hair." ;)

This thread's kinda unfair.

I like the idea of Jason being the "Steve Trevor" type character, but I don't think I'm the only one that would rather just see him offed.

Ugh,none of these options are very satisfactory:( i would rather he just wasn't in the sequels due to being at boarding school

Its a cool reinvention but not something that totally destroys anything from the comics, but adds to it.....since Jason is Richard and Lois' son...not Superman's.

The jury is out on this one.

Jonathan Kent is Superman's father in every way but biological.

Richard White is Jason's father but we don't know if he is also his biological one. The book casts doubt on this.

I'm betting the kid is Superman's for many reasons. I also don't think the child will die.

I couldn't vote because my guess is Richard will want to stay in the child's life, Superman will of course allow it (he had two fathers himself). This way, if the child gets in the way of the sequel they can ship him off to Richard's for the summer. LOL

Superman and Lois cant really have children anyways...so I think its kinda the best of both worlds.

Nobody knows this for fact.

The kid'll probably say, "Bring me an ice cream Super-dad."

I agree with most of what you are saying. I just can't however picture Lois and Superman having a child, or that Lois and anyone having a child for that matter. I just can't. Lois and Superman are supposed to be one of the greatest love stories of comic book history, and Singer has screwed this with his lame-ass, half-witted "kid" storyline. I hope Lois is not Jason's biological mother, and that he was adopted. Then, it would be easy to cut him and Richard out of Lois and Superman's life. That would, imo, help everything along the way.

That was my hope too. I don't want a superbaby in the comic books, I didn't want to see one in the movie.

However after reading the book my hopes were dashed.

Ur opinion that he screwed it. I like it. Makes Supes seem more human, which is what supes wants all along to be human. Dont be on the kid being adopted sorry. If singer stuck the kid in the movie, he is not gonna make it that easy to get rid of. There is a specific purpose for the kid, now whether he is supes or richards(personally to me its kals kid) its not fact, yet. But they sure didnt help by making it seem like that at the end of the book. Be patient you may be pleasantly surprised how things turn out

THe kid doesnt even have any powers, you dont know if he will. OK he is supes kid he will probably have something. But hes half human too.

I like surprises. Let's see what happens.

Absolutely, we're all expressing opinions here! I personally don't like the idea, but I'll accept it.

Until they introduce a baby in the comic books, I will hope they don't. If they do, I'll live with that too. LOL

Didn't the Joker shoot Jason in the comics?

wouldnt it be ironic if this Jason becomes that Jason somewhere in an Elseworld tale? :O

The kid should be richards and lois and dies/becomes a supervillian names brainiac.

Anyone have good shots of Jason? I would like to see comparison pictures of him and Clark and Richard.

Hmm i personally dont think he looks anything like clark or richard. What has Lois been doing hmmm?

Everyone's talking about how big a twist it would be if Jason turned out to be Superman's son. Am I the only one who would be much more (pleasantly) surprised if Jason were Richard's? It just seems so cliche to have an uncertain biological father and have it be the son of the main character.

That wouldn't be a twist for me. I would destroy the legendary love story that is Lois, Clark and Superman. I believe these characters love each other, and I'd like to see them procreate. Though, on some level I do think there is an interesting story to be told by Richard being the product of Richard and Lois; however, I don't want that movie and if that is what Singer gives me than....I guess this won't be my Superman and I'll finally, and fully enlist, with the naysayers about SR.

I want it to be supes but i wouldnt mind if its richards too, i just dont think the timelines coincide for it to be richards

I agree but I just can't see WB allowing this. A child they can get away with, the comics have played with this idea for decades, but it has to be biologically both Superman's and Lois Lane's.

Also, wouldn't this gives WB an out of their Superboy dilemma? They can create a character for the younger kids without having to deal with legal issues. They won't be able to call him Superboy though. ;)

That's been my thing from the beginning. I've talked to many Superman fans,fangurls/boys and everyone else, and unless you are diehard to the GA you don't mind Supes having a child. However, how that will be incoporated has always been issue. Lois fans, like myself, don't want her to lose her identity. And Supes fans don't want him to lose his identity. Mutual fans of Lois and Clark/Supes want them to find a way that is unique, at least that's what I've always wanted.

I think Singer can find a way to appease all of us.

Hey, SInger is making something new in usual relationships of superhero and his girldfriend.

It is a new challenge for Superman. Lois has not only boyfriend, but also son.

I think it is intersting how this whole story will end (we can xpect only sequels to explain everything).

I personally think he looks alot like Marsden and Bosworth....

I dont see any similarties with Routh at all...
