So, Jimenez is the new ASM artist in the fall. Now. Lets take a look at something here. Jimenez is doing the pencils to a free comic book day Spider-Man book. Now the writer of that book is Dan F'n Slott. So, is this a minor indication that Dan F'n Slott is writing Amazing Spider-Man?

Is it?

MARVEL IS IT?!?! You ****ers!!!

But, seriously...if Dan Slott becomes the regular writer of Amazing Spider-Man I'll pee, ****, and poo in my pants at the same time causing some kind of parallel universe to open and I'll be taken to Dan Slott Land where he writes every single comic book and it's great.

Won't he be an off-and-on again artist for the title, though? That's what I heard. And when asked about it on Joe Friday's, here's what he said:

Please say it ain't so Joe! It can't be true that your Spidey collaboration with JMS will be his final Spider-Man story. Is this why there isn't an Amazing Spider-Man solicitation for May? If One More Day is JMS' last Spidey story, what will be his last Amazing issue, and do you have a new writer already lined up? Is it someone already familiar within Marvel, and knows the character inside and out? If so, could the new writer possibly be Dan Slott, hinting it with his upcoming Free Comic Book Day title Amazing Spider-Man Swing Shift?

JQ: Spidey616, yes, sorry to say that the four issues of One More Day will be Joe’s last Spider-Man issues, but I think you’ll be happy with the creative team taking over the book. Stand by, more news coming in this Year of the Spider!

Very beautiful artwork! The only part that bothers me are the eyes, they don't really contour with the head very well. Aside from that, it's excellent, especially the car smashing through the rail.

Honestly, we're not putting ENOUGH focus on Mr. Slott. Yes, Jimenez is a talented artist and it will be truly awesome when his pencils grace the pages of Amazing Spider-Man but it'd be truly **** McGee to the 100th power if Dan Slott was writer of the title, with the pencils by Jimenez.

Damnit.

I do too... HUGE freaky eyes... Yuck!

Well... actually, besides the eyes, the art shows promise. I really like the overall porportions of Spidey. More MAN that Spider. How refreshing!

But, how he draws Peter and MJ will be a huge draw or turn-off. I haven't seen a preview of that yet. Have I missed something?
