JL Casting Call Update

Do movies usually do this? make sets even though they don't know a movie is delayed or not?

A lot of the time they do, so they have it ready to film if/when the delay is over. If the delay becomes a cancellation or something the sets either are taken apart and/or put in storage.

My friend and I went for a casual late lunch at KING'S ROAD CAFE after our day of sample sale shopping...and a super hot blond Australian sat down next to us...and 2 minutes later Adam Brody. They were talking about a "project" they were potentially doing together and he said he was super excited/nervous about getting the part...(THE FLASH maybe??)

Sometimes directors like their cast to create bonds and chemistry off screen so that it looks more realistic on-screen. Miller seems the type to me, but then again I could be wrong.

I know I number of people who work in the technical side of filming in Sydney and when I see them I ask if they're working on JL. Some are, some aren't, all have said that it's getting under way mid/late March. They've all consistently been saying this for over a month.

My guess is the WB just hasn't announced that yet, along with the lack of other announcements. The countdown to production is happening here just not on the "official" time table.

Montrealer Jay Baruchel is on the phone from Sydney, Australia, where he's in rehearsals for what is rumoured to be the most expensive Warner Bros. movie in history. Set for release in 2010, the project is shrouded in secrecy and while Baruchel can't talk too much about it, he does hint at something exciting. Since he is talking about it, and the WB so far made the stars of this movie not say a word, there is a good possibility he made have a minor role that doesn't bother covering up....
