JL Casting Call Update

OK, how about a manip of Anton Yelchin as Kid Flash aka Wally West?
 
Yea there is many methonds they could use to fix height but i personally would have liked an actor in the right height range. If he does end up staying or is superman for the film i hope they can make him look more like supes and have a good suit, makeup and hair and eyes. Hopefully he is bulking up so he doesnt look to small. But still i personally would like someone else like welling, trucco or some one else.
 
Strange how a single photo can change people's minds.
Wasn't Cotrona the worst thing to happen to USA after 11/9?

Well he is still not my pick for the role if he is indeed superman. But if they can make him look more like superman then i will watch the film and then judge how good or bad he was.

Not only is he too short, but he is too skinny, and would look better in a Bat-Manuel costume.

Yeah the picture still isn't convincing me.
Nothing personal against the guy, just don't see Superman.

Height and build, IMO are very important to the character of Superman.

There are heroes that you can cheat here and there, but to me Superman has to stick to certain characteristics to have the right presence.

I know it can be done, but I don't think using special effects or camera tricks to compensate for such a height discrepancy is logical in this case.

But that's just my opinion and you know what they say about those...
 
I think the shortest you want to get when it comes to casting Superman is around 6'0, because it is easier to put about four more inches on an actor then someone who is 5'9. But who knows maybe Cotrona just gave a great performance in his screen test that Miller felt that he could fix his height after filming was done.
 
If they ever start filming, of course, or is Miller still hellbent on getting Australia? :whatever:

Exactly. I'm anxious to see how they'd get him taller than Hammer and Gale...

Or maybe they wouldn't even try, maybe they'd make it like "oooo, look how kewl batman and WW are, they DWARF Superman"....of course then they'd have to deal with an ANGRY mob that wants to kill them outside conventions if they ever dare set foot near one.....:oldrazz:

Does anyone have a picture of Paul Telfer? He is the right build and height.He played a psuedo Capt America on NCIS plus he is from New Zealand. He would be a lot better than Catrona.
 
Yeah I mean really if you go all out on casting a perfect Woman who has the height for Wonder Woman, you would think it wouldn't be that hard to find someone suitable for Superman. I guess will have to wait and see how this comes out though.

LOL, yeah. I'm was kinda starting to feel sorry for the poor guy. Would be really interesting to see the general opinion AFTER he played to role...

He's got the right body, but ANYONE can get the right build, dude.

He lacks the face completely, he'd be horrible. Sorry, but Cotrona is better than him.

Yeah, afterwards would be much easier....

it'd actually be easier to say "Hey, these choices SUCK!" if they were well established actors, but they aren't so we really have no idea what we're getting. we know so little about these guys, the only fella I've seen outa the cast act is Common and I think he'd be fine as GL Stewart. So MAYBE the others aren't so off...?

We just don't know if they're good or not, if it were someone like Tom Cruise we could say for 100% NO or YES, but it isn't.
 
Yeah, we basically know nothing about these guys and that's why people (can) only judge them based on their looks and stuff like that, but i really think that's something we shouldn't do.

Some days ago I watched Cotrona in an episode of "Windfalls", I think it was called. But he was behaving rather Un-Supermanly so I don't know how good he is at playing Superman...But I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. Same for the whole cast of this movie. Except for Jay Baruchel. **** him. :o

on looks, physic, alone, sure, but, can he act
(I am really asking, cause Idk, never seem him)

DJ, being as short as he is, and still being (assume he actually was) considered for the role, obviously he did something to impress them

I am personally intrigued by any casting that is not base solely on looks
(again, I never really seen Catrona's acting, either, so, idk)

sure they are pletey of tall, fit, prettyboys out there, who would look good in the role, but, thats about it
