The man certainly knows how to do superheroes, imo.@flickchick85 has turned me onto Christopher Drake's work recently.
Im prepared with my shields up but get ready for a hot take! Bam coming at ya!
After watching The Batman it got me thinking if he gets Nirvana Something in way as the base for his theme and also a running song throughout the film... What would Superman have and I think this song is a great choice for a lovely fun, cute, romantic, happy world for supes (disclaimer: This doesn't mean it's all light hearted and cheese but just for Superman him self)
I even think the orchestral parts and melodies towards the end could be played with to create a nice Superman theme.
Elements of this theme should be in no matter what. Not like Elfman’s rush job though…
The thing is I love much of Zimmer’s music for Man Of Steel too…
If this will indeed be a Gunn film (directed or otherwise), I suspect the needle drops will be just as prominent the composed score.
Some ideas…
“Holding Out for a Hero” - Bonnie Tyler
“Eight Miles High” - The Byrds
“You Make My Dreams” - Hall & Oates
“Don’t Stop Me Now” - Queen
“Do You Believe in Magic” - The Lovin’ Spoonful
“Welcome to the Working Week” - Elvis Costello
“Changes” - David Bowie
Tyler Bates sounds likely.Tyler Bates and or John Murphy (who replaced Bates for Guardians 3)
My preferred choice

As for needle drops…
idgaf if Power Rangers got there first.
Tyler Bates sounds likely.
I'm always Team McCreary, tbh.Bear McCreary. Loved him for a long time and that Godzilla he worked on didn’t allow him to catch fire in the film realm like I thought it might.
Beastie Boys - Intergalactic
Nancy Sinatra - These boots are made for walking
The White Stripes - Aluminum
Bowie - The man who sold the world
ELO - Mr blue sky (or whatever it's called)
Hah I'm not completely sure what you are referring to but I assume it's soccer teams. As an Aston Villa fan I find the idea of Mr Blue Sky repulsive.. Only joking, it’s a good song but it reminds me of the other team in Birmingham, England.
