He's in his early 40s, btw.

He looks like a cross between Jason Isaacs and Tom Sizemore!

Leary is old too for Joker.

You people need cast younger Joker.

he doesn't he

those Jason Isaacs is far more attractive ;)

nice avvy btw, Oldman

Batman 2

Starring: Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Christian Bale, and Barry Dowden.

Bale's already Batman.

There shouldn't be a Joker in BB2. Save him for the third film.

Joker could have been the long lost identical twin brother to Bruce Wayne that was put up for adoption after his parents died and alfred already had enough troble with young master bruce............
speaking outta my @$$ here ofcourse, but you can't deny that if Bale wasn't cast as Bats,...he would have prolly pulled off ANY villian.

Actually......I think it'd be kinda hard for Bale to pull off the Penguin.....

...or Catwoman for that matter, hehe.

Most of those guy mentioned are way too old. I'd want somebody around Bale's age that could really act. My pick: Damian Lewis. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0507073/

He has the look and since he's British, it's in his favor (since Nolan has picked British people for a few of the big roles) and he sure can act (I LOVED him in Band of Brothers), but I'm not sure he'd be able to play the kind of character Joker is. I didn't see him in Dreamcatchers. If he has the acting chops to do it, I'd definitely love to see him as Joker.

He sure DOES look sadistic in this shot though...hehe

No no no, you've all got it wrong. Nolan should cast none other than Keanu Reeves for the role......

I agree. Plus I think he really needs to be in the film. The best Batman villain shouldn't be held off.

You think there is any chance for Joker and
Scarecrow
sequel?

Joker is like the Lex Luthor of the Batman franchise, you gotta have the guy around. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. Hes Batman's arch nemisis, not a one-hit villain.

P.S.

I'm working on that manip for ya Techno Bat :)

I wouldn't like Scarecrow back again, unless he was given a worthy story and wasn't just a lackey. But the Joker really needs the film to himself for his story to be told properly.

I don't know about a WHOLE film to himself. At least a tiny encounter with another villain. Maybe an opening where he takes out Zsasz.

Yeah, well thats what I was implying!

But he is such a BIG character that he deserves lots of room in a movie.

The first manip is definitely the best. The evil stare is perfect, but is he perhaps too old at 41 for a Year One-ish Joker? He could perhaps pull it off with good make-up techniques.

Jack Nicholson played the Joker when he was in his 40s didnt he?? I mean, there are older actors who play younger roles ALL the time.
