I thought Lee was your top pick for awhile. And I really don't want Hulme. Just something about him I don't like. Maybe it's because I've never seen him act.

i think Cassell would be great...i was watching Ocean's 12 the other day and i was listening to his voice throughout every part he was in the movie....i really think he could pull it off...his accent is recognizable but not that recognizable.

I think Johnny Depp really would be a great choice.....I find it highly unlikely that he'll do it but I can live in hope.....

No, we don't want Luke Skywalker as The Joker. I can't speak for everyone, but most of us don't want him. He's too old. All he really has going for him was the voice. Heck, even when he was younger, all he really had going for him was the voice.

I'm going to have to agree with what Anthony said, he'd be way to old. His voice on the other hand, would be a great asset for the role if ever cast. Though, I think thats highly unlikely considering his name was thrown around awhile back, but now we haven't heard of any attachments to him playing Joker since then.

Nicholson was 52, Hamill right now is 55.

Even with the 3 year age difference, I still don't see it happening.

For starters, Hamill is older than Nicholson was when he took the role. Second of all, Nicholson is at least thrice as good an actor as Hamill. And finally, Nolan's Joker will be completely different from the one Nicholson played in Burton's film, so casting someone around Nicholson's age range at the time won't do.

This isnt a Burton Batman though, this is Nolan and in the Nolanverse the Joker will be an equal to Batman.

While I am a huge fan of U2, I wouldn't wanna see somebody as high-profile as Bono showing up in a Batman movie - talk about Jarring! - but Bono's portrayal of Macphisto was, in voice and presence, much the same as Mark Hamill's Joker. Not to mention the obvious resemblance.

He was charming and evil all at the same time. Because Macphisto was the devil.
