Voted for Paul Bettany. I think he'd make a cool Joker. I'd vote for Crispin Glover, but he's not a candidate anymore.

Geez, he still scares me every time I watch Spider-Man. Still going with Bettany, though. I want a dark Joker. I don't want the Joker with campy toys and campy music with lame-dressed henchmen like in Burton's Batman. He should look close to the Dead End Joker. I've always loved how the Joker looked like in that short movie.

Dafoe looks like he wouldnt be out of place as one of the hillbillies in 'Deliverance' in this pic!

Scary indeed!!!!!

I'm still rooting for the chameleonic actor that is Tim Roth. The dude is amazing in every movie he's ever done, especially in villainous roles. His performance in Planet of the Apes is the only redeeming quality the movie has. He's great in Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction. His role as the villain in Rob Roy got him an Oscar nomination and a BAFTA win. I have yet to see Four Rooms, but I hear it's a very sick, twisted, and comedic performance.. He's great at voices and accents, and has manic energy that always comes through on-screen. Plus, he's good friends with our Gordon - Gary Oldman. So, he might come aboard to work with Oldman again..

He did a good American accent for about 5 minutes in Firewall, and I hear he does one the entire time in Dogville. So yeah, he can do an American accent.

Yup, and it is a very very very good American accent.

we are all owned by the divine force that is rumor. It surrounds us, penetrates us...

so does anyone have any REAL guesses who will play the joker? Not rumors

Rumors are much more reliable than guesses.

Rumored the only two candidate that have a shot are Paul Bettany and Lachy Hulme with Bettany in the lead.

His lazy eye annoys me, too. He's like an uglier, less suave Joker.

Well, they never invaded anybody because God told them to. That's not a political point- I think that Blair is a disgrace to his party as well as his country.

Well i think he was backed into a corner with that.. he had to get involved..i would have to.. infact any leader who was in charge at that point Conservative, lib demacrats would have done the same.

Imagine if the Conservatives had been in charge >groan<. :spidey:

Both of you are incredibly gullible. Blair is the most suppine and gutless leader this country has ever had. The Labour prime minister Harold Wilson faced exactly the same situation with the Vietnam crisis as Blair did with Iraq. And do you know what? He stood up for British interests and refused to become involved. Margaret Thatcher, probably our most pro-American prime minister, fulminated against President Reagan after he invaded Granada.

If the Conservatives had been "in charge" in the period between 9/11 and the invasion of Iraq in 2003, then we would have seen a much slower and more diplomatic path to war, with more parliamentary consideration, and some idea of an exit strategy. As it is, Blair gave no consideration to any single aspect of the war or the "peace" that would follow. As a result, we have become the yapping terriers of a moronic American president, in a needless war that has led to tens of thousands of deaths while sewing the seeds of Islamic terrorism all over the world- even in our own cities.

I do not say that the Conservatives would have handled the situation better because I am a conservative; I say it because nobody could have handled the situation worse than our feeble-mided "leader".

I can't say i agree with you, But this is no place for this kind of disscussion.

Although i respect your opinion. :)

Roth was my top choice for awhile, and if he were actuall in the running, he'd be my top choice.

At this point, my TOP 5 is:

1) Paul Bettany

I'm not big into Penn or Brody, but otherwise, your list is quite good. Put Hulme and Eccleston in there, and it's perfect.
