I just cannot respect your opinion if you come up in my thread and just blurt out a negative response without explaining why you feel that way.
guess you can't respect me either :)

"Nope."

I would like to have Lachy Hulme as the Joker. That would be Sparks from Enter the Matrix, and Matrix Revolutions. Funny as hell, tall, scary face in make up. The only question is could he pull off the evil.

.....Mark.....Hamill......
......DKR....Movie....
.........................fanboy dreamworld:D

He's not wacky enough outside of acting? He's an actor, and a damn good one, I'm sure he could pull it off. In Sin City when
Jackie Boy is having the conversation with Dwight in the car.
I think he could :D

I saw that movie just two nights ago, and during that scene I thought the exact same thing!! Frankly, any batman fan that have seen this movie would have to agree: he could be a god Joker. Period.

I'm going to disagree. Physically and in terms of acting ability, he'd do well. But you can still hear his accent in his voice, even if barely, and that kind of took me out of Sin City a little and would definitely do the same for Batman.

In Sin City the accent was intentional... he can lose it in a heart beat. He can do virtually any voice (remember usual suspects?). He's not my first choice but If he were cast I would rest easy knowing that Joker would at least be an interesting character with a lot of presense.

It wasn't very strong, but I could still hear it, specifically when he was in the hallway before Shellie let him in.

I've seen him in interviews.. There's no accent.

One thing for sure, Benicio Del Toro sure pulled off one helluva laugh (during the Tarantino-directed sequence with Dwight and the dead Rafferty) that screamed "JOKER!".

Me and my friends had this exact same conversation after seeing Sin City. His look in that movie was even appropriate, just dye his hair green and put the makeup on him. Of all the actors mentioned for the part so far he's the only one that I can see and hear in my head as The Joker. Whoever they cast I'm sure would be good, but until they make a Batman movie featuring the Joker and cast someone else, Del Toro is the Joker in my eyes. :joker:

from imdb:

The villain, Dr. Totenkopf, is played by Sir Laurence Olivier, who died in 1989. Kerry Conran achieved this by using CGI-manipulated archive footage of Olivier.

I heard his name brought up over at The No Homer's Club and Adult Swim as a fan fav to play the Joker. Thought I'd bring in a new name to SHH!'s Joker Casting Cult.

He's an over the top british actor who was in Mad Max. He's around 40 something though. Not too bad I suppose, better then Lachy Hulme.

why does a new thread get started every time someone has an idea for casting the joker? There's plenty of old threads for this.

His name is too close to Bruce Wayne. Everyone would get confused and angry.

I chose Crispin Glover. When he played the role of Willard, he showed he could be comletely insane, he had that arc where one moment he could be calm and collected, then the next he was utterly psychotic...plus his hair looked like it came right out of Killing Joke.

But could he pull the laugh off? I think that would be something he could work on.

I agree. I think he would be a great choice.
