Thats not very good for your case against Del Toro. They actually look similar in those pics. The hair, the eyebrows, the nose, the cheekbones..

I don't see why you have to bash other people's choices. Why not just promote your own? I think you get insecure because you know Del Toro is a viable alternative to Roth.

I never bashed Del Toro, I just cannot see him in white make up and in a purple suit as The Joker.

The only two choices I can recall to have bashed was Lachy Hulme and Johnny Depp. And whenever I promote Roth people get ticked off. I can't win!

Could'nt agree more. The thing is would it really bother people if he was cast in the new franchise.
I would also love to see Walken appear another more serious Batman movie.

I can think of only two reasons why Carrey won't be the Joker. One is of course he was the Riddler but the other is the fact that Hollywood doesn't take him seriously. It's a pity, the man really gets into work and can assume any role. Lemoney Snicket is a prime example of this. But I gues directors just can't wash the Mask and Ace Ventura from their minds. Sad.

The man is a comedic genius and there ARE serious parts in some of his movies where you actually feel/hate/love his character...


...if I could spend a day with Nolan (or whoever directs the sequel with Joker) I'd spend it along side the director watching Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (for his eeriness), the Grinch Who Stole Christmas (for his comedy and grumpiness), and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (for his ability to be serious when needed).....and all of them would prove just how versatile he is and how perfect he would fit the Joker. Jim Carrey as the Joker would be as good of casting as Bale as Batman IMO.

I mean.....that scene where he's threatening the children while they're in the car is 100% Joker right down to the VOICE!!!

....considering the Joker isn't a physical fighter, that wouldn't be Carrey's biggest problem. The biggest problem is that he already played the Riddler...

my choice is allan cummings, who isn't on your poll. he played the eccentric enventor who was coerced by his evil friend into makeing weapons for terrorists in spy kids, and he played nightcrawler in X2. he can act well, he can be intense, he can play crazy, and he kinda looks like the joker.
