Steve Buscemi and Robin Williams are linked with the role but it's between Jude Law and Lachy Hulme.

who would you say will make a good joker then?

I actually think that Lachey Hulme would be good for the role, he's American isn't he?

BOWIE can act he has been in many films, he has proven he can act, he has proven that he can change character, and go search for bowie in yahoo search and find pics of him smiling he would be so cool as bowie, it probably won't happen, but like what many have said let him have a screen test at least lets see what he's got, plus he has got to be the most healthy and young looking 60 year old in the entertainment business, some one please make a manip of bowie or at least post a pic

SEND HIM OFF WITH SOME VOICE TRAININMG FROM THE GOD THAT IS HAMILL AND WE ALL KNOW HE CAN HANDLE HIMSELF...........LETS DO IT......MARSTERS DAMMIT!

How about Denis Leary? If you have seen "Judgment Night", then you know he can play an evil psychopath - and as a bonus, he has a background in sick, twisted comedy. plus, I think that he looks the part.

James Marsters is a bit too young in my opinion, and not tall enough or has the physical look to pull it off. He'd be good, but not the best choice.

I agree. He is slightly too old for the role, and is known as the Green Goblin to many, so people uneducated in the new Batman films would think "What is the Green Goblin doing in a Batman film?!"

43? Wow! He looks so young. He is a good contender for the role now, I must say.

I know I cannot believe it, that's feckin............amazing........good skin cream..or is he really a vampire?

He's the guy shacked by Sarah Michelle Geller! WOW! lol

I had posted on the other Joker casting thread, that I had heard about Marsters being up for the role, and that I liked that casting. Glad to see some people agree.
And, as far as how he should play it: Joker is the Hannibal Lecture of the comic world. He should be dressed nice, like he was in the 40's and 50's, with the black suit with pinstripes. And it should be ironic that he looks like a clown, because he is serious and definately not funny.:joker:

Trenchcoat, trenchcoat, trenchcoat!......by the way Ithink he should wear a trenchcoat:joker:

Yeah. A long black coat, and black hat would really set off that bright white skin. He would actually be scary for a change.

Just like we have never seen a true addapation of Bats, we've also never seen Joker as he was intended.:joker:

Yes that'd make a lot of sense............ If he was wearing a armoured green bodysuit, a goblin mask and going around on a glider! Do you seriously think they'd think "Uuuuh..... why does da Green Goblin not wearing his mask and why is his face white, his lips red, his hair green and he wearing purple and yellow suit? why does he calling himself da joker? IT MAKE NO SENZZZ!!"
They are not that dumb! Did the people who saw Catwoman ask why Storm has shorter hair, had lost her powers and was now wearing a clown stripper outfit?

There is one scene (very brief) in B89 where Jack is about to hand over a sandwich full of money to Eckheart and he's leaning on a car. Every time I see that pose, the way his hat is covering half of his face and the long black coat, just makes me wish they had used it after his accident.
