I don't know about BLACK...maybe a REALLY REALLY DARK purple...so that in the dark scenes...it almost looked black but had a purple tinge to it. OR!!! even a BLACK suit with purple pin stripes would be cool. BUT NOT ALLLLLL Black....

There is one scene (very brief) in B89 where Jack is about to hand over a sandwich full of money to Eckheart and he's leaning on a car. Every time I see that pose, the way his hat is covering half of his face and the long black coat, just makes me wish they had used it after his accident.

I concur. I have always thought he looked more dangerous/crazy there than any other time.

No doubt. And as far as someone like Dafoe playing Joker. Man, he looks the part. But I think everyone involved wants to go with a much younger part. Ray Liotta was originally the one who was going to play the Joker in Sam Hamm's original script. Not Jack. And Joker should be at least as young as Bats. If not younger. They want to go against the original films. Man, I even thought of James Marsters as too old.

I think the Joker looks way cooler in black or a darker suit than in purple. It worked in B89 cause it was pretty dark purple, but I still prefer something different.

Nicholson looked awesome in that "the pen is mightier than the sword" scene.

Richard E. Grant is good, but too old now. Roth is still fresh and can pull off the role.

I agree Riven Joker looks perfect in that first picture. Iam pretty sure they will pick a very decent guy to play the joker when ever that is, iam sure there choosein right now!!

But i just hope that he is insane in the film although JN's performance in Batman was great i think that the Joker did not seem like a madman.... i wanna see him shoot ppl and kill them for looking at him wrong i want to be scared of the Joker.. i want the kids that see it have nightmares of just how scarey he is not by violence or bad laguage just by the way he looks and his voice ..and the eyes

nah i think masters still, and i love the long black trench coat but do yas think i top hat or the old gangster hat, but yeah i'd love it if he was dressed like when he gave the cash to eckheart i want the joker to be dark and serious with the slight side of being insane as well, his character should be like in "Gangster No.1" played by paul bettany the bloke in first knights tale and wimbeldon, any whoo his character in Gangter No.1 was insane and the charcter hacked everybody up and enjoyed hearing the victims yell of pain and agony, plus the charcter always got undressed to this whity tighties and singlet then killed the victim, now that character was insane, so yeah check the movie out and see what you think. ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh base joker around Alex from A Clockwork Orange, that movie was mad, so get joke to be like him oh ho i will love that, just the personality though not the visual stuff, so yeah thats what i think, what about you????

After seeing him as Jackie Boy in Sin City I am convinced that he can play The Joker. He is just creepy in that film.

He is Latin but so what. So were Cesar Romero and Jack Nicholson(his bio-dad was Italian).
