The Dark Knight Joker Intro Description...no Bs

i disagree. i dont think that is from the penthouse scene at all, during the party his makeup is perfect, almost like it was just applied. this has to be from a later time in the movie, possibly before the semi chase...

The Penthouse and semichase are all part of the same night if I'm not mistaken.

Sounds violent...grenades in people's mouths...people getting shot gunned in the chest...this is the Batfilm I've waited for all my life!

The dialogue ain't lookin' so hot, but maybe it's how they're phrasing it.

Oh and, I think a lot of people owe Latino Review an apology. Seriously. That sites reputation just shot up 100+.

Surely his head is about to explode! Instead, the bottom of the grenade emits a gray, harmless gas. It was a joke!
Above footage sounds very cool. But I think the real Joker would've filled that grenade will smile toxin gas (or whatever) and kill the poor guy off in a cruel manner.

Now... it's just harmless. Sounds like Cesar Romero.

Cesar Romero wouldn't even touch a grenade...

I just got my tickets for "i am legend" for IMAX last night...i cant wait

it'd suck if your imax theatre didnt show the prologue. i'm gonna wait until the day before the movie comes out and then call my imax, just in case.

aw, c'mon. miller has some cool lines. not always great, but they aren't "******ed. god damn batman...etc"

edit: wait. he ACTUALLY WROTE THAT?!!?!?!? what the hell frank...

have you not been following ASBR at all? really I don't think you can judge the book on that line alone, it does seem totally mental at first (actually it is) but it's all for a reason. It takes a while to actually "get" what Miller is doing and to appreciate it. Alot of people are only starting to warm to the book with the latest issue, #9 and more than two years into the run. plus there are moments far more "wrong" that that particular line in the series. but yeah pretty much everyone reacted badly when that line first dropped, it's only recently it's begun to make sense.

If this description is true, then we seriously have a "cold-blooded, mass-murdering clown" on our hands.

Either it was a crappy scene or it was a poorly written article.

I'll go with poorly written because I have no idea what actually happened. Guys on the roof, 2 guys talking, then the guys on the street, and the in the vault? He was talking gibberish. Hopefully because he was so excited by the clips awesomeness.

no. i don't follow it at all.

reading through the thread in the comics forum might help put it in perspective. It really is a FUN book, even most of the peope who say they "hate it" will admit that. Other "wrong" moments....Bruce forces Dick to scavenge for rats in the batcave for his dinner: he slaps him when he cries about his parents: Batman meets Black Canary and they have sex straight away with their masks on on a dock after beating up thugs; Batman takes extreme pleasure in hurting cops: he laughs like the Joker while he injures people, yelling "Eat glass, lawman!": he throws molotov cocktails at people: he tries to show of his fancy gadgets to Dick and then gets grumpy when Dick calls them "gay" and accuses Batman of faking a Clint Eastwood voice to look tough.

By the way, are we sure the Joker doesn't pull his mask off and say:

"My name is the Joker. Commander of the mobsters of the west. Loyal servant to the true Mob Boss, Carmine Falcone. Husband to a murdered wife, father to a murdered son -- and I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next."

=\ sounds like a joke. it's like an mtv version of batman. but, i suppose there is a place for a "fun" book.
