Excuse me if this has been asked before, as it is a pain to read through all of this, but is he wearing make-up when he takes off the mask? Cuz it says "his scarred face", but I REALLY don't want to see Joker sans make-up. Anyone know?

nolan said there is no origin. joker is joker from the beginning. can only assume he's in full make-up. plus that "through the glass" picture is that shot of him taking off the mask. so he's full on joker. there's no way he isnt. if he isn't, that's kind of a problem.

It'd be a great "code-line" to use in public. It's a straightforward and harmless question to average folk, but it's like a batsignal to all the comic book geeks.

Only reason I asked was because in the Imax picture he appears to have no make-up on. And that picture fits the scene description.

The Make up is ONLY on his face, which ends up being hidden by said mask. He doesn't even bother putting it on his neck.

Thing is, there isn't much good-looking comic book clothing, as we talked about before, lol. I have no Batman shirts.

Oh I know that.

But in the pic we have from the bank, Heath (with the grumpy mask) is in the front of the shot, and clearly has no make-up around his eyes (as can be seen through the mask) and brown hair.

Previously, a lot of us were confused (mainly due to spy pics) about how Joker goes from looking normal under the mask to "painted" when he took the mask off in the bank robbery sequence. After reading these descriptions, however, it's obvious that we were over-thinking things - he always had the makeup on, and they simply didn't put it on under the mask because the viewer wouldn't see it anyway (shadows and such.)

However, this still leaves one question - both descriptions say we see the back of Joker's head before he gets into the car, but not his face (this scene can be seen in spy pics, too.) If you look at the spy pics, his hair is brown in these scenes, with a few streaks of green. However, in the "reveal" pic (IMAX one) he has bright green hair. Strange. I wonder if this is explained?

Anyway, is anyone going to the Philly showing in King of Prussia? I was thinking about it.

While I'd definitely like to be guaranteed a seat (I'm not too worried on that front), I would love it if the screening was packed with batfans. There really is no more surreal moment, than cheering and ooh'ing at the smallest of easter eggs, with people that would only get it if they were hardcore geeks.

It's a very special moment.
