What type of knife is it that Joker uses in the film? In all the trailers and TV Spots we see, it's the one with that he holds up to Rachel's mouth... as well as the older man in the crash party scene. It's the one he opens up in the street fights scene in the 2nd trailer right before "here.. we.. GO."

I know it's an OTF (out the front) switchblade, but I'd like to know what kind, or at least a close resembiling one. The OTF Switchblade is illegal in some states, but in mine it's not. So me asking is not an illegal desire I have. :oldrazz:

I just don't want to lead young kids to go out and buy these knives they are very dangerous and you can get very hurt with these. They are illegal in some states. In all honesty i think there should be a lock on these threads and a rule for no discussion about them either.I don't want to sound like a stiff i just care about people and there safety. These knives are NOT TOYS.

If they are old enough to own a CC and order online I think they're old enough to take responsibility for such actions. From what I know they aren't illegal to own, just illegal to carry around public places (in such states) anyway. I could be wrong, but that's what I read when I ordered mine.

And yeah, that's not "his knife" but it is what a lot of people have been getting that looks close and is cheap. If you know something better I wouldn't mind checking it out - PM me? :)

It's exactly the same knife only a much cheaper clone. There's jack and crap difference.

I'm getting alot of pm's on what knife :hoboj:ledger:hoboj: uses so here it is....

It's Called an "Extractor 1600 OTF (BLACK HANDLE)

I would gobble these up now before the movie hits and don't think these are gonna be available all the time. The site i'm directing you all to has not had these knives in stock for about 6 months and they always change the models around in the knife hobby field so you never know when the knife will be discontinued.

I JUST BOUGHT MYSELF ANOTHER 2 :brucebat:

ok, so now we have three contenders....is there a winner?

None of these are the actual knife... There is something on the knife the Joker uses that isn't on any of these models. It's a oval indentation of some kind at the top of the slit in the blade, as can be seen here:

So until I see one like that, I'm holding off on the purchase... Someone has to be able to find it.

That oval that you speak of is on the flip side of the knife that isn't being shown in the pics on those sites. I ordered the first knife mentioned back when that first thread was made about the knife and it does have that circle. I believe they all have it and the pics that are on the sites are simply showing you the reverse side.

For what it is worth, that last posted blade (the $47.99 Cupid Extractor) does indeed appear to be the knife shown in the pics. Those other knives are simply cheaper knock off clones of the Cupid.

Oh ok... Extremely helpful. Thanks.

Well, upon looking over the HD footage in the trailers of the Joker at the party with the knife, I have come to the conclusion that the one Gothamcitythugz posted is the one he uses... Or atleast it looks the most like it of the ones posted.

The major difference I see in the footage that leads me to think it's this one, and not the $47.99 one is the size of the silver button on the blade... In the footage, when he goes to brush the hair from his face, you can see the silver button clearly and it's small like on this model, and NOT BIG like on the $47.99 model...

I'm still unsure as to why the knife he used on the film, and is going to such a sought after item, would be on sale for $17.80. I'd like to think if it's the real deal, they'd know it's in the film and would be charging alot for it... But it looks legit.

So I'm gonna think hard about ordering it... *Doesn't wanna be stuck with the wrong model and have to re-buy again*

Upon further looking, and analyzing... Now, the edges of this blade, do not seem to match the edges of this pic

Really, some close up, detailed pics of the knives for sale would help alot. Once anyone gets them, or if anyone already has any of of them. Pictures of both sides and from all angles is the only thing that can help at this point...

So far, I am not sold on any of them... Unfortunately. I find it sort of amazing trying to hunt down such simple information as the actual model of a knife being used in a major motion picture by an iconic character is so hard.

The blade doesn't look the same because its showing the other side. The one for sale looks exactly the same on the side with the circular indentation. The reason for that indentation is to lock the blade into place. It's the same knife, trust me.

No, I'm not talking about the indentation anymore... I'm talking about the actually edges of the blades... Look at the edges of the one in the picture for sale, and then the edges of the one in the pic I just posted... You are telling me the flip side of the blade, the edges are totally different than the front side?...

I've never seen that on a knife before.
