Joker's OTF Switchblade

Any new places on where to get the knife from? Ha, I think I read this thread a bit late but I've saved a few links I ran across in here.

Oh God I hope that thing is still in stock by the time I get paid on Thursday ha

Can't wait :hoboj:

I made an account to this site JUST so I could answer this question,

the knife the joker is using is not the POS "Cupid" or "Extractor",
The knife he is using is made by Asheville Steel and its called a Paragon ATKO10, there are a few versions of the knife but it is indeed the knife he uses.

do you really think a rich nemesis of Batman would be using the piece of **** knives you guys posted? I think not.

The ATKO10 retails on a few sites from $160 to $250 so save your allowance kiddies.

Sorry but FAIL

There isn't a single knife on here http://www.bladehq.com/cat--Paragon-OTF--167 that looks like Joker's. YOU ARE WRONG. I don't want people spreading misinformation.

And it's just a prop dude. Your point about the joker not using a knife because it is cheap makes no sense. Tabio sells his socks real cheap, they supplied them for the movie. But they must be wrong because they aren't a 200 dollar pair of socks.

Different sellers call the knife different names. The only reason you can't go to a website that has one that looks like it and see that it sells for 200-300 is because of the fact that the Joker used it.

I got mine for 15 dollars. That was before the movie. After the movie came out I saw it on the same website for $150. It is the exact same one, and it is a piece of ****. The knife is crappy period. Of course he has other more expensive ones too. Like the one he pulled on Gambol.

The one I have.

I'm sorry but if you actually buy one for $150 and up, you're dumb. The best time to have bought one was when the first few pics were out.

Anyone interested in one of these? Shoot me a PM if you are.

you are incorrect also, i purchased this knife (PARAGON ATKO10 OTF) 3 years ago from nic-nac.net which if you do the math is over two years before the movie came out, the crappy pieces of **** you guys purchased that would snap in a heartbeat if you stabbed something and have "Made In China" stamped into the metal, its clearly not the real thing.

If you honestly think that the filmmakers wanted Heath to use a 200 dollar knife while filming scenes like he did
joker47.jpg
, then you're just thinking crazy. This thread was never about finding the best "version" of that knife but identifying the exact (key word being "exact") one he used in the movie. It doesn't say "Made in China" anywhere on it, except "Stainless" on the blade just like Joker's

jokerpromo13g.jpg

If you want to promote your website or whatever, feel free I guess but don't start telling us we've been buying the wrong knife when we've already confirmed which one was used.

P.S. I've stabbed plenty of innocent teddy bears with my knife and it has yet to "snap" on me. *blows on blade* :hoboj:

There all pretty much the same, heck I got one at a chinese weapon shop in my local mall.

Wow, I did do the math, and you got this knife before it was cool? Wow, you have great taste in knives! You MUST know what you're talking about!
Was that the reply you were looking for? Something tells me you're the type of person who "was a fan of the band since before they got famous"?

But anyways, LOOK at the Joker knife for God-sakes. It has features present in none of the knives you posted from that site (which you misspelled by the way). All those paragons have arrows running vertically up the length of the handle. The Joker knife has vertical lines running up the handle, all the way up past the button.

learn to be efficient at searching the interwebs next time, and blaming your idiocy on someone else, so thanks for playing.

If you would've taken that advice yourself and done a little bit of research, you would've found that the actual original knife is the Dalton Cupid, seen here:

http://216.71.158.68/webcat/cupiditfnew.shtml

do you really think a rich nemesis of Batman would be using the piece of **** knives you guys posted? I think not.

Take a careful look at that knife I posted. Notice how there are arrows on handle between the button and the blade? Instead of vertical lines like the knife the joker is holding? That's because those vertical lines are a feature only present on chinese knock-offs of the original Dalton Cupid. So to answer your question, yes. The "rich nemesis of Batman" is in fact using the exact "piece of **** knives" we posted.

But even ignoring all the evidence I just posted for you, he says it himself in the movie, he's "a man of simple tastes". He loves dynamite, gunpowder, and gasoline because "they're cheap". He's a character that picks up whatever weapons he finds along the way. He most likely found/stole a whole box full of these things, evident in the fact that he has at least two of them (one stuck in chest of the hanging batman, another which he pulls out before he gets arrested.) The Joker using cheap disposable knives isn't just believable, but likely.

So yes, you are wrong. You came here trying to look like a macho knife-expert "schooling" a board full of Batman fans, and you came out looking like an idiot.

I own an almost exact replica, for cheap... Because it is a cheap knife, if you buy a 150 dollar version you are being ripped off.
But the joker could be using an expensive custom knife, his suit was very expensive, so why wouldn't he buy an expensive knife that he loves.

Hey genius your link doesn't even work. It's http://nicnac.net/

THE KNIFE IS NOT A PARAGON

Find me a picture of one that looks exactly like the knockoffs / Joker's do. Whats that? YOU CANT! Please log out and go away. You are wrong.

And I just looked over all the Paragon / Asheville steel section. Guess what? No Joker knife!

geez, i never thought i would cause an argument by posting this thread.

sorry about that you guys. i never wanted to cause trouble. i just thought the knife my bro bought was a replica of the joker knife

You caused no trouble. Its just people like Paragon666 spreading false information is what I don't like. Someone is going to read what he wrote and think its right and buy the wrong knife. I dont want that happening.

Actually human flesh doesn't break knives, obviously you have never been stabbed.

paragon was just trying to pimp us his ***** website. guess who is going to shop at assistedknife or bladeplay forever.

paragon "HEY don't buy that 40 buck replica you want just to play around with. go to my site and give me your hard earned money and buy this super expensive version so can help support my cocaine and gambling addiction!"

:whatever: I got news for you Paragon. I was on set in Chicago when they were filming the dead bats scene. I took pics and stood next to the prop master and his cart. They had an assortment of microtech knives and those cheap ass clones. No big secret...the Joker would use whatever knife available to him, cheap, expensive, just so long as it would get the job done...i'm sure the one he used in other scenes, was a slightly modified clone extractor, dull blade, etc...
