Even the positive reviews were hardly all that enthusiastic. At most, the reaction was "eh, not bad." I'm with you, though - I preferred Lee's Hulk. But neither of them were all that great, imo.Hmmm the majority beg to differ about TIH. Personally i preferred Ang Lee's Hulk, but i admit i'm in the minority there.
So he obviously can't?Whedon has worked with nobodies before. Not stars like RDJ or Sam L Jackson.

We obviously disagree there, so there's nothing further to say.Whedon has made ONE crappy movie and a few girl power or just crappy TV shows.

Not saying he can't, i'm saying he hasn't. And Avengers is going to be a MEGA budget film. It's a massive risk getting a TV show director to helm a movie of this size and importance. So he obviously can't?![]()
Well you are a woman, so of course you'd like his showsWe obviously disagree there, so there's nothing further to say.
Go to Metacritic and compare the two. Actually read the positive reviews for both. I think you'll find the positives for Serenity to have much more enthusiasm than the positives for TIH.Well what sort of reviews did Serenity get...
Better to get a guy who's used to making the most out of a small budget than a guy who's used to using a big budget as a crutch. Not saying he can't, i'm saying he hasn't. And Avengers is going to be a MEGA budget film. It's a massive risk getting a TV show director to help a movie of this size and importance.
Real men can appreciate strong female characters, too.Well you are a woman, so of course you'd like his shows![]()
You're right, that's a fact, and it has ZERO to do with his talent as a filmmaker. Marvel makes these choices based on proven skill and sensibilities, not the roster of A-listers they've worked with in the past. But there is something you cannot deny... he has only made ONE film with a bunch of nobodies. Now he is getting to helm probably THE biggest comic book movie ever?
qft!I guess I'll just hope that Favs ends up controling Whedon to the point that Favs is basically directing this film by proxy.
not for movie fans..this is good news!
qft!
the only way whedon would work is when he's heavily influenced and controlled by other, better directors
I'm personally more worried about the script at the moment. Even the best director can't do much with a crappy script and Zak Penn doesn't have a great track record...
sadly I'm very familiar with Buffy. and that's why I'm worried. You can just tell from some comments that folk are ignorant of his sterling superhero work on Buffy and Angel, and only have a passing familiarity.
.
david icke, I noticed how you conveniently forgot the one big hit Favs had prior to Iron Man. Just sayin'.
Sterling work on Buffy and Angel? GTFO! lol I've seen plenty of episodes. My mum and ex girlfriend used to love them. Key words: MUM and ex GIRLfriend.
You know what's gonna happen, Cap, Stark and Thor are gonna be standing around with their thumbs up their asses whilst Wasp defeats Loki and his hordes of Frost Giants or whatever.
