I really love the monster loose in a mansion aspect that they are doing with this film.

I love that too. The idea of being trapped in a contained space by one or more of these things is terrifying. The raptor scenes in the original Jurassic Park are still incredible, that being one of the many reasons why.

It doesn't look bad per se, but it does feel like they are struggling to come up with fresh stuff. I'm keeping myself interested because I think the director is really good and there's a lot of darkness and mystery around some parts.

I know we kept saying we wanted weaponized dinos and this is pretty much it to an extent. We just never get to the point where we see them in action, they just go off the rails.

Which is kind of the point. Any time you try to weaponize an animal, especially something as dangerous as a dinosaur, it will go off the rails.

The TV spot with the T Rex and the Lion was great and I loved the little featurette, the film is looking better and better with each piece of new footage.

Do folks not remember her scenes in JW where she was running in a skimpy tank top being all hot and sweaty?? That was one of the only good things about the movie.

Seriously tho, I thought she looked really beautiful in that running sequence plus she looked all kinds of hot in that scene in the van where she was freaking out.

Dude, you said this before as well but how is that even possible?? If this is successful (which it'll be), the entire cast who makes it out alive will return for the next installment. That's a no-brainer. I'm not sure why you're so hung up on this.

I do think that Pratt came off as a bit too stiff in the first one. He was more of a stoic badass than a goofy but charismatic lead. I personally would have preferred the 2nd type even tho it's more or less being typecast in a certain kind of role. I'm hoping he comes off a bit better in this one.

I re-watched The Lost World: Jurassic Park today and it was ok. It wasn't as bad as I remembered but the original JP is much better. Jeff Goldblum is great but the movie isn't very exciting. It starts to get good when the T-Rexes first appear. I wasn't very invested before that. Also the first movie looked better in my opinion. I liked that they shot that movie in Havaii.

Jurassic World wasn't very good but I'm looking forward seeing this new one. I'm not a fan of the gray and bluish logos of these new movies. I think it could look better if they added green. The original Jurassic Park logo looks much better.

I miss the gritty, pulp-y feel of the old films. These new ones are far too glossy, clean, and textureless for my tastes.

Agreed on this. To be fair, that's basically every movie nowadays though, that glossy digital look crap they go with as a default. Greenscreen is a crutch.

I love how enthusiastic Bryce is about the movies, her and Chris Pratt both feel like big kids in a Candy store.

The new featurette is great, and we called it, that scene with stuck in the cage with the huge T-Rex head was animatronics! I love seeing the prctical work they are still doing on these movies.
