Hoping it's at least $208m or more.

300 lol jk but is 208 even possible at this point? Last I heard was 180-190 and if it was 208 that would be like 83 more then the prediction it had just by like wesnday.

Deadline's now saying $190-200, but THR is saying it has a real shot at the record. Basically, it keeps outpacing initial estimates. That record's definitely in sight.

Wow the numbers just keep going up. It used to be 100 million was amazing. Now that is more like 150-180 million and this movie could be the second to reach 200 million. I wonder how much longer before a movie makes 300. While I guess tomorrow morning we will have a better idea of how much the movie will make.

Was I the only one who didn't like the 3rd act?

But there were scenes that I loved:

I-Rex attacking the gyrosphere was awesome and probably the best CGI of the movie.
I also loved the raptors ''Aliens'' attack via soldiers cams. Awesome scene but to short.

I don't quite get one of the death scenes....the security guard....he basically just sits there....waiting for the Indominus to eat him up.

After the Indominus flipped the car over, instead of running away, the security guard just sits on the ground, waiting for the Indominus to eat him.

I was just wondering is the security guard's death scene a reference to the first Jurassic Park...where the lawyer just sits on the toilet bowl, letting the T-Rex eats him up?

And yeah, you can see Dr Ian Malcolm on the back of a book. A nice reference.

I saw that as a nod to the first JP where Grant talks about how the T-Rex sees movement. The security guard did what (I think) many people would have done, he stayed still, tried to be quiet, hoping that the I-Rex was only spotting movement, but unfortunately for him, it was a messed up monster who had heat vision.

Well it did better than the opening day estimate, so here's hoping it's more than $208m.

Yeah I was thinking aliens too. I liked the 3rd act and didn't like the 1st act.

Ever heard of the saying "scared stiff." He was petrified, frozen in fear, or so afraid he couldn't move.

Thanks for your input.

Even though it didn't physically appear in this film, I though it's nice to see a 3D hologram image of the dinosaur that killed Dennis Nedry from Jurassic Park.

Was anyone hoping for more different kind of dinosaurs attacks on the visitors? Seems like only the flying dinosaurs attack the park visitors.

It will be cool to see other types of dinosaurs attacking the visitors.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting to enjoy this. Like before seeing the 4th film. I watched the first three films in preparation for the latest film and the first three films felt really dated and they didn't really grab my attention even if I had not seen them for like 3 years. But when I watched Jurassic World, I really enjoyed it. The dialogues were kinda off but the visuals were beautiful and the action was really good. Like I really liked that hundreds of people were witnessing those attraction sites and the first three films didn't really have that and I really liked the variety of dinosaurs that this film had, especially they had a water-type dinosaur and the one with the shell/spiky tail got to join the action too. Then the action, I thought the crowd that I was with was gonna be quiet because they weren't responding to the trailers that much, but during the film's intense moments, they were a lot of reactions, even I had reactions, I'm usually stoic/quiet and it just made the viewing experience so much better. This is probably my favorite Jurassic Park film. The story wasn't unique, like it was kinda predictable, it was very expected what was gonna happen next but it was so enjoyable that the simplicity of the plot didn't really hurt it. I hope there's a fifth film... The Closed Park: Jurassic World - make it happen Universal!

Also I must say that 2015 is killing it with these blockbuster films... Kingsman, Cinderella, Furious 7, Mad Max, Spy and now Jurassic World. I don't think I have enjoyed this amount of blockbuster films inside the cinema before like in a yearly basis. This year, I have only seen 7 films inside a theater and 6 of them, I genuinely enjoyed them and its only June and I still have 11 films that are on my cinema watchlist for this year. So I love that I'm spending money on good films.

BoxOffice.com are now estimating $210 million opening weekend.

While I don't think it will reach those heights... Holy ****! I knew this would be big, just not this big.

Did anyone like the Jimmy Fallon cameo when the brothers were inside the hamster ball scene?

I thought the dinosaur petting zoo scene was cute and cool.

I thought that scene was quite moving. The security guards just a normal guy caught up in the chaos and is paralysed by fear. It was a nice contrast to Owen's quick thinking which saved his life.

Thanks to that scene, I felt like my youth got shortchanged that i didn't get to ride a triceratops

Yeah, he was funny. Great guide to have. :woot:

The movie did have a good sense of humour and fun, which I liked.

One part I don't get.....earlier on Claire scolds Lowery for wearing a "Jurassic Park" T-shirt. Why?? I don't get it.

And in the finale, why didn't Owen sprayed petrol on him, Claire and the kids since it worked for him earlier on in the film?

The petrol would have covered up their scent from the Indominus Rex.
