Or I could just put my anger to one side, come back another day.

Of course the system in operation would still be in place, so yep, bye everyone, all the best.

Guys, keep the petty jabs to yourselves, please.

A line from Point Break really comes to mind currently.

Note to FC : Sorry for my part in that.

That actually wasn't directed at you. I only deleted your post because it was in response to a deleted post. :)

Just as many of us are aware of the lack of care, attention to detail, and lack of respect shown by WB when they decided to hire Zack Snyder and give him an entire trilogy of DC films, allowing him to make creative decisions for several A list DC characters in the process.

Its why so many of us are glad this whole thing fell flat on its face.

Yeap. We mock not because we hate. We mock because these characters deserved better. Even MCU and Joss were smart enough to part ways after AoU. What was Snyder’s excuse?

I can understand why fans get defensive. Being a fan of something that's a laughingstock isn't fun. I've liked plenty of movies that are popularly considered bad.

But what I can't get is the idea that even if you agree something is bad, that you still have an obligation to support it out of brand loyalty. Supporting crap is how you keep getting crap.

I grew up being a Batman fan. I watched the Superman movies when I was a kid. The 1978 Superman movie is my parents first date so I wouldn't have been born if it wasn't for Superman: The Movie. I loved all the DCAU cartoons. The DC universe means a lot to me.

I don't give a **** about Zack Snyder and his vision. I don't like his take on Superman and I am not on board with his take on Batman. I don't like his DC universe. Why should I support a take on these characters that I am not on board with? I've seen better movies with these characters and better interpretations on them. They deserve better than what BvS and Justice League (and Suicide Squad) gave them.

I think it's wildly known that I'm a massive DC fan and a fan of the DCEU, and of the output prior to the JL film, and that the JL film for me, is not representative of what I wanted or wished for in it's cinematic form, however, I would support the film for the cast and so that they may continue in their roles. Would I jump with joy that hurrah, it did so badly, no, fans of something don't do that, they support through good and bad. I've supported Liverpool all my life, do I wonder off and support a more successful club as soon as a time comes along that my team fall and are not as successful, no, of course I don't.

Dude Liverpool is doing pretty well, infact they arguably have the best attack in world football and klopp is a fine coach.
As for the discussion at hand, well it's pretty simple you support **** and you'll end up getting more ****, which only ends up damaging the franchise more in the long run. There is a big difference between being a loyal fan and a corporate shill and luckily people saw through WB and Snyder's bull**** and voted with their wallets against the abomination that is Snyder's DCEU.

This is a poor attempt at trying to make a point.

It's not about switching teams, it's about voicing your displeasure at the team's performance and management. If they can't get it together, bring in new players and especially new management.

The point is about loyalty, in that I want to support the 'DC brand'. Sorry you think it's poorly constructed. Also, yes. I was probably out of order to say to people 'go back to your MCU threads if you wish to gloat', but what I was trying to express and perhaps not doing it very well, was that there appears to be on here, a view, that if you say you like the DCEU and what has been released previously, you are not allowed that view and somehow makes you 'less of an authentic Superman/DC fan' if you happen to like whats been released, and if one was a 'true fan', you would hate Snyder and what he has made within the DCEU.

You may like it but you must then also openly admit that it is hurting the brand. Because that's what is 100% happening right now.

You may like a certain Liverpool defender but his defense game is *****. Now, I can still like him, like the way he plays etc. etc. but at the same time you cannot deny that this player is hurting Liverpool.

This is what you're not grasping.

You can call yourself a "true DC fan" all day long but admit that what has come before is bad for the brand and call them out for it.

I'm just saying I like the DCEU films to date, I like the Snyder films within that system and I like the comic book iteration of said characters, I think there's room to like both and people shouldn't be treated as if it they should be burned at the stake for doing so.

there's morons on both sides

I **** on snyder and even I think sometimes it gets a bit much/repetitive sometimes

maybe you should take a break like herolee did a few months ago my dude if you're burned out, maybe come back when something significant comes out like a trailer so it's the main focus for the day

No one should feel obligated to call them out for anything. Especially if they like the movies.

man, you petty and pathetic as ****. Did your mom ever tell you to go around calling people idiots? Treat people the way you wanted to be treated. Superman and the other superheroes would be ashamed of you...

I want, when I do idiotic things, for people to call me an idiot yes.

Like you calling me pathetic when I'm doing pathetic things in your eyes.

When a person is doing idiotic things in my eyes I will call them an idiot.

You can be loyal and still express disappointment and call the powers that be out on their mismanagement of things. Embracing mediocrity and poor performances like there's nothing wrong either means you have little to no standards or you're just being obstinate just because, which does nobfwvoure for what you support in the long run. People like what they like and you clearly like the DCEU as it is, fine; but many fans do not share your opinion and with more than enough glaring good reasons.
