Justice League script review

I hope the film is good. I never want these dream projects to crash and burn because it hurts future superhero projects. I just wish they would make the film serious and not enter the realm of ridiculous.

If I were casting Batman in this, he would be Jon Hamm the lead of AMC's amazing new show MAD MEN. The guy on the show is Bruce Wayne. He's rich, dresses cool, bangs tons of hot ladies and he leads a double life. If you see the guy he screams old school Bruce Wayne.

I was thinking the same thing about Jon Hamm.

I was thinking about making a ham sandwich.

I think it's more along the lines that he's so damn excited about this project that he's jumping the gun. He seems genuinely surprised people here at SHH are taking exception with him doing so.

I don't hate the guy and I am not about to resort to name calling but, Rob should try to "relax" he should try to stop "jumping the gun" because now he is starting to lose credibility in other peoples eye's.

I think Rob lost alot of credibility in some people's eyes, not mine though.

Ummm I find it odd that people directly credit Rob with any rumor that exists even when he links the info from somewhere else and states that it is a rumor for now.

^ now who is this rob fellow again? i'm lost as to who he is.....

I have no faith in this movie. Its a shame, a JLA movie could've been great but the studio had to go with a more commercial root.

Super Friends starring the stars of High School the Musical. They could've saved that cast for the Teen Titans movie.

All I can hope is that this movie crash and burns before it gets made and then someone who takes it serious will take over years later and do it right.

:wow: Wow; I cant believe they both got fooled. Well theres stil hope its ight
That question was asked right on IESB. Not sure if it was answered.

i've been lurking at the IESB forums since casting news broke, from how i read Sanchez's responses he was upset about the substandard script but he was very suspicious about it. thats actually what spurred him to verify its authenticity, which later lead to him debunking the whole thing as a fake.

actually if anything the credibility meter should go up, it was Sanchez who called out the fake on Clint's script.

I believe he is the iesb owner? I say that as a question because I only heard about him recently.
i dont think so, Sanchez is one of the leading contributors in IESB, but i dont think he owns it.

Justice League vs. The Crime Syndicate

Is it real or is it fake? Of course I am talking about the latest big geek news to hit the web (this week), the first 14 pages of an alleged Justice League script leaked yesterday.

First, and I have to put this in, please check the byline, this one says STEPHANIE SANCHEZ (geez a girl never gets the credit she deserves) a link to IESB and everyone assumes Robert wrote it. Ok, now on with the news…

Clint Morris from Moviehole.net got his hands on the goods and talked a bit about it. He sent over the link for a mention and as a good friend does, IESB posted it. In turn, Morris sent over the pdf for us to take a gander.

As a big Justice League fan, I was so excited I think I almost pissed myself. I opened the file and saw JLA on the cover, you can imagine my glee. However, my glee turned to confusion when I realized this wasn’t what I had expected.

What about all the leaked info that had come out? Patrick from UGO’s Back Row Chatter had a detailed rundown of the plot and this certainly wasn’t adding up. Is this for real? A giant octopus, floating orbs…what the hell? You can read all the gory details by clicking here for my complete rundown of the 14 pages and what Justice League storylines it looks like they ripped off (which by the way 14 pages makes sense rather than the whole script when it‘s all big action sequences and it‘s most likely going out to effects houses to give bids on).

When I got down to the appearance of the Crime Syndicate I was, to say the least, scratching my head, did I miss something?

I am not one to jump the gun, I don’t like to flat out say 100% one way or the other on issues such as this. This could be an elaborate hoax or it could be the beginning of a page one rewrite.

I have to tell you, and it’s something that can’t be revealed in detail at this time, but the script that got around a month back, CERTAINLY would have pissed off the Chris Nolan camp. When I heard the premise I was like, WHAT? Why? Why do that? Why go there? This is why I can completely understand if the script needed a complete overhaul. Sure keep some of the main elements, the things that DC and WB really took to like the OMACs, Maxwell Lord etc. but change some of the “interworkings” let’s call them.

Remember what Christian Bale said at the 3:10 to Yuma junket when asked about Justice League? Here’s the quote, “It'd be better if it doesn't tread on the toes of what we're doing.”

So is this the beginning of said overhaul? We got a couple of emails and calls today that say yes, this is a JL revamp and yes the Crime Syndicate of Amerika is in it.

Here’s just one so you know what I am talking about, and this is from a good friend who is in bed with DC, figuratively (maybe literally not sure),

confirmed. its real. maxwell lord is main villain. omac's are part of the plan. crime syndicate is a diversion to keep the jla busy while the omacs take control.

Another trusted source who is high up on the chain in the industry said he heard from DC directly that the Crime Syndicate is in the film.

Been talking to Clint tonight and he’s hearing the “it’s real” stuff too. Mayimbe over at Latinoreview.com called Robert today to say he thinks it’s real as well.

Now, hold up a minute, does this mean it’s the final draft, let’s go shoot it? Hell no. I am sure there are many rewrites to come and script changes aplenty. (At least, god help us, there will be some changes, did you all read the details? Unsettling)

So there’s the story. All nicely put out there for you, make your own decision, I know what my opinion is…

If this is true , they dit it to themselves again ..

they were telling you had a great script you fools...............

Oh Geez......so from the looks of it Ra's and possibly Talia WERE in the first draft? If that was the case why would they purposely pick.........*sighs* I'm too tired right now.

On one hand, having a different tone from the Singer and Nolan movies would be a good thing to make clear it´s distinguished, but the story sounds like B&R-level stuff all over again. WB, will you EVER learn?!?

The biggest reason that I believe that this is a fake script is the "Empire" level spoiler that I alluded to in my Back Row Chatter article. There's absolutely no mention of it in this script fragment, none. Furthermore the villain that I was told exists in the script is not mentioned at all in the script fragment either.
So is it safe to assume that Ra's was or is a villain in this?

Superman and Wonder Woman fighting a "giant floating orb" that shoots blue "lasers/beams" Aquaman and his "army of whales"

This makes no sense because not too long ago Robert Sanchez stated it is one of best superhero scripts he has ever read. And why would anyone from WB confirm this?

Sanchez admitted yesterday that he didn't read it but that he had heard from several trusted sources that the script was phenomenal.

The thing is , he was talking about a script without martian manhunter at that time.

And we know MM has been added by Miller . and we know the script has been rewriten . We don't know the extent it has been rewritten.

So yes that POS does make sense.

Ah! Thanks for clearing that up. Interesting.

you're welcome.;)

Bottom line, imo, if it's really confirmed to be true, and people are upset by what they read they must speak loudly (but intelligently ) like never before.
