Justice Society of America #1 preiview with dialogue

Hahahahaha, oh man, it's going to be JLA all over again.

Shall we take bets on what f***ing arc Johns decides to have the JSA make their first appearance?

looks freakin sweet. wish don kramer and keith was on this. their art was perfect for this book.

Someone tell Meltzer and Johns that if we already know the line-up of the team, it's f***ing stupid to devote an entire arc to picking that team.

Looks awesome. I hope Johns is capable of assembling the team in the first issue. He better not be wasting an arc on that's for sure.

Thing most surprising though? Jesse married Rick!?

She married Hourman? Woah...

way better than Stargirl and Atom Smasher together... that was gross...

I'm still unsure whether I'll be picking this up or not. On one hand, I've really read nothing of the JSA so far, and this would be a pretty good starting point, I'm sure. On the other hand, I don't have that great of an interest in the characters, and Johns' writing isn't as can't miss as it was a year or two ago.

Why is that so surprising? Johns set up their romance way back, and neither of them's been able to get much of the spotlight with Stargirl or Power Girl hogging it arc after arc. Doesn't surprise me that they got married in about 2 years' time. What I want to know is how Jesse became an "all-American powerhouse."

Anyway, I like the characterization and stuff. Wildcat's a good POV man. I really hope Johns doesn't draw out the team's roster-building the way Meltzer is in JLA, though. That's just annoying and unnecessary.

Pretty cool. I like how they seem to be handling Alan Jay and Ted from the "trainers of heroes" angle.

I don't know, I just see the building of the team to be an issue or two at most. Looks really good though.

Should be a good read. I wonder if Dr. Fate will get encorporated.

Yeah, I know there were hints of there being a romance, but never actually developed into anything. By the time of Infinite Crisis, they certainly weren't together. That means the couple would've been married in a year or so. Sure, that's possible, but it usually takes a little longer than that.

Rick works fast.

Which doesn't surprise me. It surprises me that indepent-business-woman-Jesse-Chambers would go along with it so quickly. Then again, she did use to be a speedster.

She was totally all over Rick's cock in the issues where she became the JSA's museum curator, or whatever her position was.

She was a professional "failed speedster"

Man, this book is going to be such a disappointment. Just like JLA.

They seemed to be on the fringes of a relationship in the Thanksgiving issue. Then Rick got his abdomen sliced open and had to spent time in the Timepoint, and after he got fixed up, he pretty much jumped into the whole saving-Jakeem-adventure, just as Infinite Crisis started to hit.
