I don't think the director of Clerks 2 has any room to make fun of anything.

But he didnt' make fun of Superman Returns. He was mocking himself and his adventures with Jon Peters and Co.

The friggin' guy who made this thread misled people into thinking that Smith was ribbing on Returns. Smith is so innocent, it's not even funny, and yet some people still got fooled.

If Kevin Smith had an any original thoughts in his head we wouldn't be seeing Jay and Bob... AGAIN. Just because the guy can make some funny jokes doen't make him gods gift to the movies, something he seems to act like. Plus his comics are 10 x's more boring than required reading for highschool. Has anyone read his script for Superman? It's awful!!! Whats next Chasing Inkers?

well to be fair, as much as i love smith, the depth of his comic book collection, number of hot girls he's been around, and his relationship with stan lee, has absolutely nothing to do with his talent as a writer and director.

I loved he made of his superman movie idea and superman returns. It has it coming. Its Richard Donner light version of Superman. Its funny how its popular to hate Star War after one corny movie yet Superman screwed with Superman 3 and 4.
