Interesting points Smith makes. I can understand how he thought Lex was lame because he wasn't sadistic and ruthless, but I can't help but feel like his ranting is partly based on him not being involved in the movie itself. I love Kevin Smith but I can't help but wonder if that kind of sparks a bit of anger that the film isn't how HE saw it.

As for this whole Kevin Smith issue. Does it really matter to anybody who likes SR? Does it alter your opinion of it? I don't think there's any point in unvalidating his opinion because of the quality of his films. If you hate SR and your favourite movie is Blade Runner or Alien or Gladiator or Black Hawk Down or Kingdom of Heaven and Ridley Scott where to come out tomorrow and say how much he loved SR, would you honestly change your opinion? I didn't think so.
