Brianiac having a gay black sidekick

This is some old sh^t, but funny....and scary.

None of it is any more outrageous or disloyal than Supes and Lois having an illigitment child.

The fact of the matter is, if Peters made that story line, you fanboys would've been up in arms.

It gives us some insight into how difficult writing a Superman script was when you had to fight crackpots at WB.

If anyone here has the "Evening With Kevin Smith" DVD, it's from that.

That segment alone is worth the purchase of the DVD. It's crazy.

WATCH IT, it's one of the funniest stories I've heard. Smith is a very funny, articulate, and entertaining story teller, and if you don't watch it all, I feel very sorry for you for sadly missing out on a barrel of laughs. Even though it's long, I watch it a lot occasionally when I need a good laugh.

The fact of the matter is, you have no proof that Superman is even the father.

I just talked to someone from BT today who was in recent contact with one of the writers. 'Jason Christopher White' is Richard and Lois' son according to them, nothing seems to be set in stone just yet.

I cant wait to hear what Kevin Smith thinks of Superman Returns once he sees it!

Hes someone whos opinion who I actually care about.... he'll prolly be pleasantly surprised after all the crap he had to deal with.

Smith's opinion means very little. He is becoming everything he is "against". He is playing the Hollywood game too much. I love how he was one of Episode I and II's biggest critics, and then come Episode III when there is the possibility of him directing the Star Wars TV series, he praises the entire prequel trilogy out of his ass.

Still seeking attention around the SR forums I see....Haven't you learned yet?

Notice how they intentionally left Jason's last name off his trading card where everyone else had one? Notice how ambiguous the book is about Jason? Notice how the budget draft had Jason hitting someone with a piano?

All evidence points to Jason being Big Blue's

If you are so convinced that stating one's opinion is seeking attention why would you give me what I want?

I dont think theyll let him near a Superman project again after all that previous crap...so he has no reason to suck up.

But if Singer nails the character perfectly....he'll know.

Im sure he'll be relieved if Singer does........and if Jon Peters has nothing to do with this.

I don't understand why you get so angry about the idea that Superman has a child...

1). It's logical to assume Lois and Clark would have children. They're meant to be together. It's the natural conclusion to that relationship.

2). The child isn't super powerful or anything... It isn't some corny idea to start a super-family.

3). The storylines of regret (not being around), hope, love, compassion, and humanizing a "god" like Superman. As someone said in Novel thread, a child like Jason who is unhealthy being Superman's son makes the point that all kids are special and nothing about them makes them "different" from anyone else. Not to mention this mirrors Clark's life being raised without his biological parents and the father-son Relationship with Jonathon, something Clark probably has always wanted for himself and a son.

Anyway... I've seen this a ton of times. My favorite part of it is the end when he says that he goes to see Wild Wild West and he's thinking "This is a peice of ***" and then a giant spider comes out... Classic.

BEcause firstly, it is not the way you START a franchise. Second, CONCLUSION as in end to the relationship...not Superman knocks her up than runs off for 7 years. I can not think of anything less Superman.

See the budget draft and the piano scene.

I have read the novel, Jason is intentionally ambiguous. It is likely they left quite a bit out about him.
