Kevin Williamson's 'The Following'

I think Joe could be alive if he got a follower to duplicate his own dental, I also think Ryan and Clare will make it as well. They chose the ending they did, an either or situation in case the season did or didn't get renewed.

A suitably wacky finale, Parker's dead, Joe's dead (maybe), Ryan might be dead, Claire might be dead, but Lollipop head is still standing.

I thought the most effective part of the ep was Ryan and Iceman's race to save Parker, going all Bauer on that cult wanker and then executing him.

Poor Annie Parisse, that's the second show she's been killed off in this year. :(

I actually think Joe will remain dead, he was a cartoon by the end and I think Purefoy found his dialogue so banal that he started hamming it up in the last few eps, he wasn't remotely scary. I imagine next season the enormously more hateable Emma will continue the crusade against Ryan and Iceman.

Oh, you. :funny:

And yeah, I feel sorry for Parisse, but the way I read it, that was always the plan for Parker and she knew that much. But I do hope she finds a permanent gig on something.

I think Claire dies and Ryan lives. Not sure about Joe. Poor Parker. :(

Finale was decent, though I was expecting some sort of twist at the end, Joe can easily come back, we didnt SEE him die, so it will be interesting to see what they do next season.

maybe we didn't actually SEE Joe die, but that was a pretty powerful explosion with a wide blast radius... the chances of anyone surviving after being WITHIN that radius is pretty much nil... and Joe WAS clearly seen inside that building structure...

so no, Joe's dead...

Joe surviving would kill the show, IMO.

Emma being any type of new boss or in charge person would kill the show

yeah, but she's a bit more off her axis, I think, now that her lover/leader is gone, which will make her a bit more unpredictable...

If it wasn't the season final, I bet he is still alive.

it was the SEASON finale, but not a series finale...

the only way that I can see Joe somehow surviving the explosion is if there were some kind of trapdoor leading to an underground escape route tunnel or somesuch for him...

the explosive blast would radiate OUTWARDS, but not down...

so I guess if they wanted to prolong it by having Joe survive and escape, then that would be a possible out for the writers...

This was my thinking. I mean, if he planned so much ahead and he CHOSE to run to that particular building so.... maybe.

when the second season premiere comes around and if Joe DOES survive thru the way I described, remember my post... :woot:

This thread will still be around I imagine. :)

The house was surrounded by water at the back, incidently were Joe was thrown by Ryan and were he was last seen before the blast, once Ryan ran outside, he had more than enough time to get out and get under the house or into the water.

She's human terror candy! :BA

She has a face for procedural's, when they do the 4th NCIS spin-off in Chicago or something she can be the lead agent.

You're applying too much logic to a show that beats logic to a bloody pulp on a weekly basis.

Joe surviving would kill the show, IMO.

Is it possible to kill this show at this point? If Joe returns I demand he has a twirly 'stache and has a long cackle at the end of every scene he's in to complete the transformation into full cartoon villain.

Or she could be on something good. :o

HOW DARE YOU! :argh:

I wanted to use that first.... :csad:

*runs away crying*

I'll think he'll be a head in a jar attached to a mechanical spider body.

he has written himself into a book and the only way for Ryan to stop him is to stop people from reading it and carrying out his acts. :o

No, Ryan has to travel into the book after him, thus having to relive the entire first season and team up with himself. Bacon and bacon versus purefoy VERSUS purefoy.
