Finale tonight.

The Final Chapter starts now, East Coast.

[BLACKOUT]:lmao: ''IT'S A MOTIF!'' That bordered on parody.[/BLACKOUT]

Ryan left Claire in the house, alone with Emma....I have a feeling we are about to get the Nina Meyers kills Terri Bauer twist

Awaiting the final reveal that Iceman is the person who knocked Ryan out/Alex. It has been obvious since the FBI agent called him a "good man," with her dying words.

Nope

that was the finale........... oh no............ [blackout]the girl next door[/blackout]

geeeezzzzz

So all of those followers, all that expertise, the training camp, and that was his big plan?

Well, what else would you expect from Joe? His whole thing was Romantic era literature. All he ever wanted was to break Ryan for locking him up and ****ing his wife. He was pompous and over-wrought and wanted some sort of epic, theatrical ending. The Followers were part of that, they were his pawns.

What I'd find interesting to see going forward would be someone seeing the true potential of the cult, as opposed to just using it to satisfy their own whims and vendetta.

If I were in Ryan's shoes I woulda buried that ****ing sniper in the coffin, suffocating to death is much more of a punishment than a bullet to the head.

Eh. Time was a-wasting.

Damn, that ending. If they didn't make a season 2, I'd find that to be a ****ed up/fitting end to the series.

For a moment there I was thinking Joe had survived. Then Ryan brought up the dead guy Joe killed to prove a point to Claire. Then again, the coroner who cleared it as Joe might be a damn cult member.

And so she finally strikes. The girl next door. Good thing Joey wasn't there. You'd think Claire would have him handcuffed to her side after the **** storm they went through.

I eagerly await Emma's death scene. Bring on next season.

I'm still waiting for the show's luckiest man to turn. Iceman. If he had died tonight I would still be waiting for it. He'd just be zombie. :o

If he was truly a follower, that would need to be a season one reveal. After all this, including Joe plotting his death tonight, Mike NEEDS to be Team Ryan.

As for Joe... I don't know what to think. As you said, the coroner could very well be a follower, but for whatever reason, I think if he was truly alive, they would've shown us tonight. I think S2 will involve fall-out from what happens to Ryan and Claire, but also be a brand new chapter.

ending wasn't bad. thought it would have made for an excellent series, rather than season, finale.

and apparently, according to James Purefoy (Joe Carrol), there were multiple endings to tonight's season finale. hopefully they're included on the future DVD set.

gonna be interesting to see where it goes from here without Joe

The ending was unexpected. I wonder if the redhead will be the new antagonist for season 2.

I really thought they were going to save Parker. I was shocked that Ryan killed that cultist. If Ryan had any honor or decency left in him he should turn himself over to the authorities because he clearly committed murder there. Not to mention torturing that guy. So in some way I was glad Ryan and Claire got what they deserved.

I'm pleased to see Joe go. I liked him at the beginning of the series but as the show progressed I really started to hate him and James Purefoy. Everything Joe did was ridiculous and in the end didn't even look like a mastermind. Purefoy's acting was pathetic near the end, which is hard for me to say since I loved him in Rome.

:huh::huh::huh:

No no, he's right. Ryan shouldn't have shot that man. He should have buried him alive.

Finale was decent, though I was expecting some sort of twist at the end, Joe can easily come back, we didnt SEE him die, so it will be interesting to see what they do next season.

If Joe is alive, I don't see him being in terribly good shape. If he comes back, I could see him looking a bit like Larry from the first season of American Horror Story.
