Kid-free screenings of movies? Hell yes.

I think this is a necessary change. I've been to quite a few horror movies over the last few years in which I had to endure screaming/blabbering 10 year olds. Some parents/guardians seem to have no judgment at all. If a movie is made soley for adults, then kids shouldn't be allowed in the theatre. If a screening starts at a late time when kids should be in bed, (anything after 9:30 IMO ) that should be an adult-only screening too.

Same here. But there is something to be said for getting in with a good audience which enhances the experience.

The only "experience" I want when watching a film is simply "watch the movie comfortably with no disruptions". The only way I can achieve that is in the comfort of my apartment.

I'm proud of you.
