wow that was mighty impressive. they didn't hit their target's bullseye but they got pretty damn close!

I actually was... it looks like a pretty exciting game now. The graphics are actually pretty good, there seems to be good A.I., seems to have interesting scenarios... like the opening to Quake 2 I always wanted (not a bad thing).

I think this will be a good shooter. Not a "Halo-killer" but a solid 8.0-8.5 game. Like a streamlined 'Call of Duty' but with a better premise. (Tired of WWII)

See, the reviews are all I'm interested in now. Will the hype around this be able to claw it back up from the 7's which the original recieved? Will it actually be an outstanding game and pull of 9's? Will people go with the "Yes, it looks really nice, but then when it plays like crap, who cares?" feeling?

That's on BETA I wanna get my hands on. I didn't bother with Home or Warhawk, cause I didn't think I'd make it, but this mightt actually be worth the effort.

I believe they said at the 15 minute preview that it's in fact an Alpha version. I'm still not sure how it cannot at least be in its Beta stages this close to release. But what do you guys think, Gears or this?

IMO, one thing about Gears that makes it so beautiful is the heavy reliance on Normal Mapping. This game seems to rely on pure polygon power, so they have a vastly different look about them.

I've never seen people so desperately trying to be dismissive of something. Face facts, 1 of the 2 things that we didn't think would happen, happened, Killzone 2 delivered on its promise, you can lie all you want, but it did, this isn't the GG who made Killzone 1. So who knows how it will turn out, but really BlackSite Area 51? You're insane, marking it saying well it will only be an 8-8.5/10 who knows.

I don't know. The graphics look nice, barring some muddy textures. But I'm going to wait until someone actually gets their hands on it and plays/reviews it before I make any judgements. If they didn't fix the problems of the first game, they might as well be making a corvette that can't drive.
