You realize that the original game sold close to 3 million copies, and Killzone Liberation is one of the best games on the PSP that received good receives while missing the entire conclusion to its single player campaign as well as its multiplayer component.

Sold close to a 3 million copies (confirmation?) on incredible hype and expectations. On a system that had around 100 mil users, and a lack of competition in the FPS genre. And Killzone Liberation that, while being a good PSP game, has nothing to do with actual console development. Yep, I'm completely impressed.

Not to mention that on how horribly the game was received, I can't see it selling any better than the first. Especially considering how much smaller PS3 fanbase is (mostly located in Japan, where FPSes aren't popular).

It didn't have Halo, that doesn't mean there weren't other FPS games out there. Over a year ago, Guerilla confirmed that the game had sold over 2.5 million world wide, factor in time and greatest hits and it's closer to 3 million.

And Killzone Liberation that, while being a good PSP game, has nothing to do with actual console development. Yep, I'm completely impressed.

Considering the PSP essentially is a handheld consoles right down to the rendering library, it has some baring. The thing is built like a portable consoles, right down to the GPU, the realtime demo is the most impressive thing on consoles yet, and has none of the technical hitches of the original.

Do you actually have any proof of that. The PS3 has its largest userbase, currently, in America.

The thing is, Killzone released to an audience of about 20-30 million PS2 owners, who did not have a great FPS on their console. Killzone 2 is going to be releasing to an audience of probably about 10 million PS3 owners, who do have good FPS games available. I'm not saying it won't see success, but I don't know if it'll be as successful as number one, even if it is the better game.
