Killzone 2 showing straight after MS E3 Keynote, July 10th

CoD4 trounces this blurry thing. And you're delirious if you think major graphical changes happen in the last months of development.

And what game would this be? The best looking shooters on the PS3 right now are GRAW2, Rainbow Six: Vegas, and CoD4. CoD4 might come very close, but KZ2 still has the edge. And it won't go gold for at least two or three months, which will allow them to polish everything even more. They could have seven months to finish up for all I know. And who wouldn't be excited for a high profile exclusive that apparently(it might not blow anyones mind) is turning out to be a great time? The 360 already has a great library, so why won't you just get off of his nuts? Oh, and once this game comes out it's gonna suck for me. Then I'll have to avoid this thread on top of AC, RacF, CoD4, and Uncharted. Damn you bastards with money to spend on next-gen systems(or parents, for the spoiled ones. I'm looking at you, Elektro!).

Wait, you've been screaming in defense of the ps3 all this time and you don't even own one?

it's like zenien championing blu-ray despite never having seen a high def movie...

sony fans :whatever:

Even 7 months from now, Call of Duty 4 will ******* Killzone 2, especially in the multiplayer department. You can quote me on that.

Sounds a bit like you actually... just without the wrong opinion.

What are you talking about? His opinion sucked. It was probably one of the most biased, completely ****ty opinions on movie releases I've seen thus far in my time of looking at opinions on movie releases.

1 out of 5 stars because it's "not on teh Blu-Rayz"? Mega-meh.

COD4 doesn't touch Killzone 2. I mean it looks good, but it's nowhere near Killzone 2.

It's like HD DVD fans being idiots who can't remember basic details like I bought my first Bluray movie in January of last year, and that I have watched movies in high def, and that I do now own my own HD TV. And like, I mean, Bluray and HD DVD having equal screen quality is totally something I have to see for myself and would totally alter basic facts of business, and objective analytical perspective and turn the well known facts of something as closed as a format war on its head. No man, if you haven't seen HD that means you can't understand, like, anything, dude, seriously!

You probably didn't even understand what I just said. Nor will you reply to it with anything. Which what you tend to do when stuff like this happens.

Of course you probably will reply, now that I've pointed it out.

Oh, I understood, I'm merely stating that it shows (and I have seen many a post on blu-ray.com saying people don't have HDTV's but are buying blu-ray) that the numbers are artificially inflated by fanboys that can't even use the tech

And don't even try to pretend this is about business. You got blu-ray because you got a ps3

Have I touched a nerve Zen?

edit: caught that before the edit... :p

Pretend what is about business? The format war? My opinion? Because both those things are based entirely on Business.

Someone having never watched an HD movie in no way impacts their ability to make an objective assessment of a public corporate issue, in this case, a format war (or be it a console). I don't need to be in the oil business to tell you that the Royalty hike in Alberta will lead to canceled projects.

It's pretty clear when you said "Don't even pretend this is about business..." You meant "Don't even pretend you're a real supporter of HD movies, you got Bluray because you bought a PS3". To which I'd proudly say I did, because buying a standalone player is a waste of money at this point.

yes you bought your first BD in january when HD still had the SI lead and you didn't have an HDTV to watch them on

That was based on analysis rather than simply supporting the format you had access to by default.

Try again

Try again my ass. I'd already decided to go with BR based on studio support and the fact that I would have had to spend even more money if I wanted to get a 360 add on. Oh and the huge surge in numbers Bluray started doing at that period, and quickly went out to outpace HD DVD.

Try again, chump.

Silly girl

You'd by a turd for $600 if it had the word sony printed on it.

Oh wait, you already did :o

Sigh, well you're an idiot. There's not much that can be done about it, but oh well. If you think that any of the consoles suck, well that's too bad, you're missing out on great games.

If you think that COD4 trounces this, there's no hope for you, seriously. Saying they're tied is questionable but not necessarily insane. Saying CoD4 trounces it is just out there.

actually I'm not. I thought I already told you I have a 360? ;)

I'm sorry but I'm not going to lay out $600 for a console when the only game I'm interested in may be coming in 2009 (assuming square finally get their **** together)

I will be buying a wii for smash brothers though :)

And who was the first to descend to base insults in this conversation...?

Oh yes it was you :)

Quickest way to lose an argument

Once again, someone disagrees with Zenien and is therefore an idiot

Quelle suprise

That's funny, if only;y you had addressed anything I said. Well granted there wasn't much left that hadn't been shot down in flames, so I guess you just opted out with the "You'd buy a 600 dollar turd if it had Sony on it" totally discounting my points about the studio support and dramatic surge of consumer sales that eclipsed HD DVD around that time. It's pretty clear you have no real answer, so feel free to hide behind whatever 'out' makes you feel the most comfortable.

While you just want to focus on the fact that I called you an idiot, you're blatantly using it to try and cover/save face. Seriously, get better and defending your viewpoints. "lol 600 dollar turd" just doesn't cut it.

You already replied to this earlier I think

And no, it isn't insane, it's the truth. The game just doesn't look that good, but Sony didn't have much else at the time of E3 and so they've been hyping it up. The game isn't the best looking shooter out there, it doesn't look like it's going to have the best AI, going off the premise I don't think it's going to have the best narrative, so what's going for it exactly? It's a PS3 exclusive, so far that seems to be it's qualifications for all this hype. It looks vastly superior to Killzone 1, I'll give it that, and I'm not just talking about graphics, but the game I see before me and the game I hear some of you talking about and hyping up are two totally different things.

1) That's your opinion. I think it's best looking shooter on a console thus far.
2) What are you basing that on?

Hey I paid for me Ps3!

Its why I have no monies. :(

Hippy, Lizard, take it ez u two

No need to get upset, we're all here to have fun

Knock it off, kids.
I hope you two actually did clear things up. It's always good for the community to be open, and it's residents to be clear with each other.

Thank you for the effort.

How can you can say CoD4 trounces KZ2 when you haven't even played KZ2 yet? Do you have any idea how ridiculous sounds?

That's like saying you prefer Doom 3 to Doom 4 when it hasn't been released yet. (no really, John Carmack has said there will be a Doom 4)

It's pretty much a given that COD4 will probably trounce Killzone 2, considering that it's doubtful the game will get above a 8.5 GameRankings average when it hits shelves. Improvement over the first iteration, but it's not going to be "one of the best games" of this generation.

There isn't adequate evidence to support a claim like that.

Track record of Guerilla is all the evidence I need. Not to mention that the AI in the gameplay videos doesn't exactly look too bright, and the blur effects are, at times, shoddy. It seems to be the two-tone color scheme of Killzone as well, which is pretty lazy and drab.
