Matthew Vaughn‘s latest, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, smashes its way into theaters this weekend. The early word has not been overly kind, nor have they been devastating. “[An] exhausting, exhilarating watch,” seems to be the biggest takeaway from the film, and 20th Century Fox wants to keep that exhilaration alive while turning it into box office returns. If you’re someone who wants more Kingsman in their lives, you’re in luck, because Matthew Vaughn wants to make Kingsman 3 and then some spin-offs to boot. Are you prepared for more well-dressed people shooting guns at each other?

I would love to see them go to Japan and see the Japanese chapter called the Shoganate. Plus Japan is perfect for the over the top action.

Any idea for who you want to see appear? I would love to see Panti Bliss appear

This isn't even that kind of franchise.
Just another excerpt from an interview where the filmmaker is giving his wishlist.

Feel like part 3 should close the loop, with Eggsy choosing and training the next Kingsman agent with Harry in either the Merlin role or the Arthur role.

Of course I'm not sure how smooth a follow up this would be from part 2.

Ah well.

Set the third one in Australia and reunite Taron and Hugh. That's it, that's the movie :P

Yeah he should leave that princess for him

It would be fun if they brought in Naome Harris as the new Merlin. She can do camp

I think turning this into a franchise was a mistake.

After seeing the 2nd one I don't ever wanna see 3rd. 2nd ruined the first and 3rd would probably even worse. It's spectacular how horrible the sequel was.

The tracking device scene is what kills the movie for me.

Netflix owns Mark Millar's work now...so...I assume that they either own the rights to this (and Kick Ass and Wanted) or at the very least the rights will go to them if no new movie is made. Frankly...I think Netflix is where all 3 of these properties belong...and Netflix certainly needs the programming to compete with Disney. Kingsman 3, Wanted 2 (or reboot) and a Hit Girl spin-off movie would all be great for Netflix but bad ideas for the theater.

I think these properties stay with Disney. Let's remember why Disney brought Fox to begin with. It just wasn't for the other Marvel properties. Disney wants to challenge Netflix in streaming so they need all the programming they can get as well and Fox provides that.

Disney for a large studio produces very few films a year. They currently release about 8 films a year. Usually a Pixar animated film, a Disney animated film, a Disney live action adoption of one of their animated hits, a couple of Marvel films, a Star Wars film, one of their nature films and a Pirates film or other original project. That's nor enough programming to fill out a streaming service.

They will also need more than PG and PG-13 programming to compete with Netflix which offers a wide variety of programming so I doubt they will get rid of Kingsman just because its R rated so long as its profitable.

Sure...they get the actual movies that have already been made...but Fox didn't actually OWN Kingsman...they just owned the rights to make movies about the concept. One can assume that there is some way for the rights to revert back to the owner (failure to make another movie in a certain period of time...or just the time of the contract ending). I tend to doubt that Disney will have much interest in creating films based on Netflix owned properties...so the best scenario for fans is for Netflix to eventually get to do it themselves.

I enjoyed the sequel a lot so glad to see it’s continuing. Vaughn coming back is also pleasing.

I liked this movie but I honestly want Vaughn elsewhere. He's a damn good director and I want to see what else he can do.

After watching the 2nd movie again I hope he comes back for a 3rd at some point. I do think the franchise could continue without Vaughn but personally I want to see him back.
