Not to discredit others’ opinions but I do have a hard time trying to understand why people have issues with the chemistry between her and Jason.

It would be better if she was a stronger actress, which she unfortunetly isn't. I liked the chemistry but someone who had more talent than her could do much better in that aspect. It's one of my very few issues with the film

Just saw this and Amber's Mera was great and stunning. I had no issues with her acting and action scenes, I thought she pulled it off. I thought her and Jason shared decent chemistry.

Did anyone else actually pronounce mera as mirror before this movie? I always pronounced it as Me Rah. Anyway, Amber was fantastic in this. So much chemistry with Jason. And it was great to see her do more than just be a love interest

I really love Amber's Mera, I think she might be my fave female comic book movie character, it's like she leapt straight out of the comic books with the way she looked.

Also we all know that Mera's strong and fierce and is no damsel-in-distress, but I hope in the sequel we get to see her vulnerable side too.

Silvermoth, you should know since Whannell also hails from Australia. He is Wan's close friend (you could also say that he is one of Wan's proteges) and a frequent collaborator. They have worked on several films together and Whannell directed last year's cult movie in the making Upgrade.
