just saw the movie... VERY entertaining!

the way they did the drug scenes were awesome! lmao

cameron and cruise have great chemistry... and im officially excited to see what this director does next!

love him or hate him, but Cruise has star power and charisma, which a lot of so called "big stars" these days seem to lack.

when you go see a Cruise movie, you're always guarenteed some entertainment.

Cruise will rule the box office again!

lol The Killers officially bombed... on a $75mil budget.. it only made $45mil

shouldnt be too hard to beat that epic failure

My girlfriend dragged me into The Killers so I'm getting my revenge this weekend. I'm loving the indication that Cruise's character isn't all there.

I see this film is listed as 2 hours and 10 mins.

This and A-Team both films that were about 2 hours or more and from FOX.

Cruise career wise doesnt do really short films.

James Mangold is a fantastic director and he made my favorite western 3:10 To Yuma a few years ago. I look forward to seeing this movie.

Exactly my reasoning for wanting to see the film. Now he gets to play with a bat **** insane Cruise? Yes please.

i saw it tonight and it is about 10 min shy of 2hrs, I really enjoyed it the action bits were good, GREAT humor. I will get this on DVD/blu when it hits :hehe:.

To those who have seen this movie

YOu guys think WOM will help this movie ?
The trades are saying the advertising of Knight and Day isn't exactly showing great BO predictions but at the same time people inside the industry and saying that the movie is very entertaining .

if this movie underperforms then i dont know what to think anymore.

Cruise and Diaz look like perfect actors for this movie. you have action and comedy and two hot actors.

if this movie can not be popular then whats the point of summer movies?

I agree Dark b, this is just a classy film.

Anyone seen the video on you tube of Diaz kicking Cruise into a table .

it was posted like a page or 2 back, but here it is:

From the reviews i've read , it's an good movie. Not great. The movie hasn't opened here so until then i'm just going with what the reviews are telling us. Seems Cruise and Mangold are ginving their best but Diaz is the weakest link. And the fact that some scenes just drag the movie .

Read in several places that the movie could have easily lost 15-20 minutes and been a much stronger film - it seems these days movies are either torn apart by the studio or not edited down at all.

I saw the movie. I really liked it. I don't agree that is was too long & I certainly don't agree that 15-20 minutes needed to be cut out. The problem with too many movies is that they're cut down, leaving only the fast moving action parts, and removing the slower pacing/character scenes. There's just too much ADT disorder going on.

I really enjoyed the funny conversations between Diaz & Cruise. Great acting all around. Cruise is charming, Diaz shines.

Probab;y one of the few cases when Fox should've edited a movie :hehe:

It was hilarious seeing Cruise in a role like this. The first half hour was psychotic . I'd hoped Diaz as June would of been a little more skeptical or frightened but their chemistry made up for it. The action was over the top but fun and I'm glad they didn't chop 15-20 minutes off this movie.

8/10

Sadly I do. Cruise's antics over the last five years have seriously dented his rep and no amount of hilarious Les Grossman dancing can win back a section of the audience who've given up on the guy. Diaz hasn't been a bankable star for years period.

i dont think that they still hate him .

Hate isn't what I meant. Cruise has been the subject of negative public ridicule and that can harm the popularity of any A-lister. EDGE OF DARKNESS, the return of Mel Gibson to the screen, didn't open and irrespective of it's quality, or lack of, Gibson's public 'incidents' over the last few years probably helped inform the decision of many who decided not to see it.

Likewise Russell Crowe's standing as a box office draw has been compromised over the last 8 years(the respective underperformances of MASTER AND COMMANDER, CINDERELLA MAN, ROBIN HOOD) as his well documented bouts of *****ebaggery haven't endeared him to the public at large.

As far as Diaz goes to clarify I don't believe she's been a draw since the first CHARLIE'S ANGELS movie and the fact that she's nowadays reduced to playing the love interest of Seth Rogen in the upcoming GREEN HORNET movie speaks volumes.

I'm interest in seeing this but Fox has yet again released an action/comedy in the midst of of summer, when children movies will surely dominate. They did the same with The A Team. It's bad business. They had no know opening between Toy Story 3, and Twilight 3 wasn't the smartest move in the world.

I don't have a lot of interest in this since it looks like a Mr. & Mrs. Smith type flick. But I agree, studios need to stop shoe-horning all these movies into the same 3 months of the year. If they are looking to start franchises and get cost back, this isn't very smart.

Saw the bike chase clip. Too much CGI and the bikes underside reflecting the bullets to the baddie not moving from the oncoming car wreck o_0

Yeah this is a ridiculous fun movie but it's not my kind of thing.

Dead Goons on a deserted plane who comically lean over.

It's clear the movie isn't taking itself seriously.
