Saw the trailer during screening of Avatar, and although I haven't like Cruise nor his movies recently, this movie could work. But comedy is really feast or famine, and Cruise might crash on his face a la Arnold in Last Action Hero, or he could strike gold again like Tropic Thunder. We'll see.

Cruise is one of my favorite actors and I really like to see that he's starting to make a comeback. He needs to do more comedies because he just has the perfect comedic timing and he looks like he's having alot of fun. I think this movie will be really funny even though I'm not a big fan of Diaz.

Yes, the character Cameron Diaz is playing is very reminiscent of Goldie Hawn in her prime.

I expected this to be more action/drama-oriented. Not really feeling the comedic aspects, it doesn't work for me.

Really? all the reports leading in said Cruise specifically wanted to avoid a serious spy film as he felt they were to close to his MI movies, that's why he turned down Salt. I was actually not keen but now I've seen the trailer it reminds me a bit of True Lies and looks like fun I think, I'm just glad there is a blockbuster coming out next year that isn't sci fi, fantasy or comic book based, I miss the days of the straight up action blockbuster.

I didn't really follow this movie, I just knew it was spy-oriented and it was action-y. I watched the trailer again, and it's just plain weird for me seeing Cruise in a lighthearted movie. He's a fantastic dramatic actor so that's what I'm used to seeing from him. Switching away from that is just jarring to me.

It's almost like seeing Bale in a rom-com.

Ever since I read that Christian Bale used Tom Cruise as his inspiration for Patrick Bateman, I like Cruise so much better now. Like, the part where he's talking to Diaz on the plane "just one of those things...", that seems so Bateman to me. I love it.

Unless Cruise's character's last name is Knight, or the title has a double meaning that means something to the plot, it doesn't make a lick of sense.
