Knight Rider 2008: The Thread

I also think they need to get rid of the stock footage, maybe some more traditional music instead of the generic hard rock.

Less quick cuts. When Michael walked into the chemical plant in slow motion, cool then they had to speed it up, no like.

This weeks episode was alright, definitely one of the best. I also wouldn't mind seeing the show getting renewed.
Like I said, I believe that NBC is planning to air an episode of KR2008after the Super Bowl. Now mind you, it's NBC, that will most likely have the lowest rated SB of all time, no matter the teams or outcome. But in doing this it may very well determine the show's fate.

I think using Ford Mustang was a bad idea; it looks nothing like the original car of Knight Rider.

I think NBC was just looking for someone to give them a good deal on a car and repairing what damage gets done during production....I read somewhere that Ford actively pursued NBC to be involved....it's also some corporation crap as well....Pontiac is a part of GMC, which is in the Transformers movie, which is produced by Paramount, who is owned by Viacom, and also CBS....

I don't care for it either. The Truck mode is "licking electrical outlet" stupid IMO.

When KITT did the jump out of the plane, I was half-expecting KITT to turn into a fighter jet.

I was more thinking he was going to go all Delorean on them LOL

Yeah something like that. I was pretty surprised when it just turned out to be parachutes. LAME!

Pleased to see the series revamped ala classic Knight Rider in the last episode.

Although I felt the showdown with K.A.R.R. was extremely too short.

I agree, I liked the episode allot but like you said the battle was a little short, it was still cool though!!!:D:up:

They couldn't even get this ep right. I was hoping KITT would get trashed at the end which would lead to a part 2.

KITT would lose some of his features like attack mode and he'd come out repaired with some TOS type features.

They wasted KARR(literally and figuratively)

They took a cheap "Voyager" route by having KITT repair with the nanos.

KARR was a freakin transformer. No going around that fact.

KARR was fun while he lasted, he was just destroyed to easily.:( I was laughing so hysterically all the way through the scene where KARR picked the guy up & tried merging with him. It looked like it should have killed him when KARR did what he did to him but I didn't care whether her died or not.

Sorry guys, I still think turning Karr into a robot was stupid.

I thought the KARR thing was a bit silly, but Im sure Peter Cullen had a great time being a villain, albeit a short time....Graiman talking about Wilton Knight and FLAG made me happy though....its honestly no worse than Hasselhoff throwing on an eye patch and calling himself Garth Knight, the evil son of Wilton Knight

Sorry guys, I still think turning Karr into a robot was stupid.

What would have been the point in using him if they hadn't of turned him into a robot of some kind? Would you have prefered they treated it like the old Knight Rider show were KARR was just an evil version of KITT who died during a game of chicken? Stupid or not, I myself found it to be entertaining while it lasted. Hopefully they rebuild a stronger version of KARR & bring him back in season 2 if the show lasts that long.

The show is definitely a step up from what it was. I'm liking this new (or should I call it classic) direction. I just wish it had been a two-parter. The first 40 minutes were paced just right, but then they rushed through the end.

And I'm glad KITT's back to using the nano-skin repair like he had in the pilot. Makes much more sense than turning into different vehicles the way he had been. I mean, it's always been the way KITT stayed bullet proof in this series anyway. The transformations weren't really necessary. Although, I guess it does help explain why KARR could transform. It would be odd that KARR could, but KITT couldn't.

And I definitely liked the battle between KITT and KARR, except for how short it was. But at least they made KITT able to fight, rather than just drive around. I'm guessing they spent their entire effects budget for that episode on the fight. Which means, had this been a two-parter, they would have had double the budget, and double the fight.

the next 3 or 4 episodes will determine the shows future....I DVRd last weeks and this weeks, technically it was a two parter....the show seemed a bit more streamlined though...
