Tommy Lee Jones as KARR
Tommy Lee Jones as KARR
you mean like the Hammer...hahah, that's insane, i didn't know hummer replicas existed, crazy to see it.
ford did sponsor it, so it probably is a real shleby GT 500. But many sites say its' 40-60 grand, which is more reasonable than $100 grand, not to mention $175 grand.
When they first came out with the GT 500 a couple of years ago, dealerships were marking them up ridiculous amounts. I work for a chevy store, when the new Z06 came out in fall 2005, we marked them up from 69G to 120G.
When the Corvette ZR1 comes out early next year, MSRP will start at 100G and I'd gamble on dealerships selling them for 180G or higher.
karr is the old car. and they can not use it.cast KARR...

this new KITT can not have hes own KARR. Kilmers KITT is basicly the third car.
the first one was created to survive. then KITT was to protect. this is basicly the third car now. i really doubt that he made a fourth car.
but who knows what they will do.

This post makes sense....the Charles Gaiman character basically stated there isnt anything else besides the new KITT, since he was relocated after building the original KITT and KARR was a prototype of that
Hoff has given the new guy the blessing and that is good enough for me

Yes, it's a sequel, but it isn't the same computer. This is the Knight Industries Three Thousand. KITT on the original series was the Knight Industries Two Thunsand. So it makes complete sense that they didn't use another 1982 Trans-Am.
I think it's obvious that they can use the 1982 Trans-Am if the 2000 cameos later on, because they had two or three 1982 TAs in Graiman's garage at the beginning of the movie.
Since the car is no longer in production, I don't think GM really has any say in the matter. It's not like they'd have to provide them for the show.
And as for the story that William Daniels wouldn't want to return.... where'd that story come from? As a KR fan, I'd heard nothing like this, ever. Daniels wasn't approached because they never planned on using him for the 3000.
If Daniels returned for KR2000 and appeared on the Simpsons as KITT (several seasons ago, the very late 90s, I believe), I don't think he's got anything against the character or the show.
Larson is also trying to get a movie of Battlestar Galactica made, but I don't think it's gonna happen anytime soon because of the show. It's a shame, because I liked the original BSG, but I don't like the new one, so a BSG movie re-imagining would have been really exciting to me.
I hope The Hoff gets to drive the new KITT at somepoint in the future .
