Wouldn't it be sweet if Hoff became a series regular on the show? He could be the new "Devon". Barking orders through the screen at his son.

That would definitely open the door for the foundation to rebuild the original KITT and for father and son to do a ride together.

We can then bring in Kanye West to do a remix of the Knight Rider these for that episode! LOL

- Kilmer and Senator Kelly
- Kitt's "personality" (Kilmer again perhaps?)
- The Kid (Mike Tracer)
- The fact that there was a talking, nearly invincible car on my television screen in high definition

Dislikes:
- Villain has to have a British accent. Why?
- The 'Stang and all the Ford placement
- The little dude with the big nose. That really is why Superman works alone.
- The Hoff walks away from the funeral toward the...pond? Does he walk on water now? Little crap like that. Find a decent cemetery that's out in the middle of nowhere.
- If this becomes a series, for Zod's sake can we film it somewhere other than the MASH/Dukes of Hazzard country sets? Why does everywhere look like some random California scrub brush valley. :

Meh:
- The girl
- The plane. I want the semi truck back. Now.

All in all, if they made this a series and kept the kid, Kilmer and Senator Kelly I'd watch it. As long as they didn't put it up against Lost or 24.

I LOVE The plane!! It's profoundly impractical, but it's just a cool visual!! And c'mon, The California scrub brush valley is ESSENTIAL!! There's nothing cooler than the original opening where KITT just appeared out of nowhere!

But yeah, I thought it was pretty good. Good acting, Kilmer was fantastic as KITT, I didn't even mind the interior blue screen shots for the drive. I loved when Mike dropped a chip in KITT, and he showed a picture of the Crying Indian!! And when he asked if Mike was a homosexual, priceless!!

Because British accents automatically up the "evil quotient" in a villan by 69.6%

Just the thought of a darker, Batman Begins-esque restart of Knight Rider on the big screen has me drooling.

As long as its not too dark, and has the fun banter between Mike and KITT as we have gronw to love.

i liked the car. I think mike will take time getting used to. Not a very good actor, but if you ever watch pilots to shows youve watched for a long time, they always seem off. so i hope it will go away.

I think it would have been cooler if the car came off a plane that was flying.

Dudes, if this becomes a show, I smell a really messed-up crossover with Las Vegas where Mike Traceur returns to the Montecito and finds a way to score with Delinda. Meanwhile, Danny tries to get inside KITT so he could score with Sarah, the FBI arrests A.J. Cooper and the Montecito gets bought out by the Knight Foundation.

I was thinkin' the same thing. I'm surprised they didn't get one of the actors from Las Vegas to just stand in as Mike and Sarah ran by, or something!

i agree, but BB had that too with bruce and alfred/fox. but yeah...dark with light humor. I wouldn't mind watching that. Taht should be interesting.

At least have Danny McCoy or Mike escort them out...that would have been sweet. but i definitely see them doing some sort of cross over in the future.

Funny thing, when they were showing the external shots of vegas, and then went into the casino, i thought it would have been so cool if they were playing in the montecito. I was SO exicited when i saw the name...i love that show. I'm catching up, at about 70 or so.

I absolutely agree that the plane is going to be preposterous at best, however!

Sydney Poitier's FBI character Carrie Rivai tells Mike, "Two days ago an American diplomat was found dead just outside Prague. The FBI sent in a team to investigate. 12 hours ago they failed to check in and they've failed to since then. Their last known contact was an operative known as sidewinder. We now believe sidewinder is working both sides so be careful when you find him."

This leads me to believe that the plane was a transport to Prague so that Mike can complete this mission for the FBI. I don't think the plane will be a series regular.

Although I like the fact that Knight Rider could now be global!!!

Agreed. And that is how I took it to mean as well, that the plane was getting him to Prague and would not be the normal mode of transportation.

I have to re record it since my local NBC affiliate was scrolling school closings. I wish I could have watched this downstairs on the HD 47 inch The HD NBC channel had no scroll

Sarah was pretty bad, wasn't she? I was mesmerized by her eyes most of the time, so that helped, but she actually turned out to be worse than Mike for me overall. Still, I could tolerate her for a series.

Anyway, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition? Why the **** do so many people watch that trash?

Ratings for Sunday Night



Three out of four time spots aint bad. Although i'm sure that if this became a series the ratings would drop steadily week after week.

Those were pretty good numbers for a very slow TV period were almost all the popular shows are doing reruns. The important is it grew from the first to second hour, and it did quite well in the key 18-49 demographics.
