I haven't followed this closely enough but I liked Peter Jackson's unedited mess of a King kong film lol, especially the extended version. Is this film likely to have as wide a variety of other Island creatures?

It can't be. 1. I doubt Kumonga is the fifth monster that Legendary bought. And 2, no way would Toho allow Kumonga to be in a non Godzilla movie.

Cool. Do you guys think there will be as many different species in the extended edition of PJ's Kong? (if you've seen it)

Just didn't see that many in the trailer but I guess it has to focus on Kong and the 2005 trailer didn't show too much of that either apart from V Rexes.

Yeah I remember playing that. Would love for them to remake or do a sequel to it with modern graphics and tighter controls.

Yeah, I hope so. I like the island itself to be an attraction too with Kong as the main event.

I truly hope that's the case. I have no issue with this film being fun, but I also want to see a very brutal adventure film as well.

I don't mind Kong having a heart, but it did bother me that they don't seem very frightened of him at all in the trailer. It's a definite step in another direction compared to the original source material as far as when they first encounter him.

I mean, Reilly's character himself said he's kind of a loner, and doesn't really bother creatures unless he considers them food or a threat. So long as you aren't coming at him in a hostile manner he's just like, meh. It looks like if he does kill human characters it's because they drew blood first, but it looks like he ends up not viewing a few as threats.
