Hulme please if they are the only to in the running, Jude Law is suck a d-ick cheese and it would really suck if he was the Joker.

Joker w/ Carved Smile:

The next BM movie isn't a TOOL video . . .

If they pull some crap like giving Joker a carved smile, I can tell you I will not be in the theater to see that film. Luckily, i'm sure Nolan and Goyer know better than to pull crap like that.

Also, anyone but Jude Law, please!

well . . . now that we know Goyer will be more involved in this next one than previously rumored . . . I'm sure we will have a nice interpretation of the J-man

I´d usually say Law, but after seeing the Hulme video, I´m not so sure. Dude can act.

That's what alot of us have been trying to say all along! Alot of people judge Hulme for his 30 sec appearance in The Matrix, what the hell? Hulme can most certainly pull it off and the fact that he is an unknown make it much more sweeter and DAMIT put Bettany back in the race!!!!!
The hell with Law and weaving!

Gah, I was just offering Ideas, I do know what I'm talking about by the way, I've read just about every Batman Graphic Novel, I own The Killing Joke, Dark Victory, Year One, Long Halloween [my favorite portrait of the joker.]

I Know the Joker is a narcissist, I know he is a showboat, and from what I'm seeing already from the Nolan writers is that he won't be displaying that in this movie. Apparently he is working the shadows, they said smaller role. That's obviously not the Joker from The Killing Joke, which has one of the most gruesome torturing ideas I've ever seen. I mean, seriously, they are people that are so dedicated to the comics they refuse to let someone else interpret the Joker. We've already seen the killing joke Joker. I want something new. Sorry if that makes me a fool, but I want something new, be it a carved smile to a simple suit change.

Having a perma-grin from an acid bath isn't even plausible. And I want the perma-grin.

lol I thought you were saying "I'm not so sure dude can act"

I, as always, reserve judgement on the Bettany and on the Hulme.

Digital Ashes, I sentence you as a perma-witch. You shall be burned at the stake tomorrow at sundown.

why is that?

because I haven't seen any of their stuff...at least not significant amount of it.

Well, guess what.

You ain't getting jack ****. Perma-grin is for limp wristed *****es.

Well check them out dude. gangster No.1 is a great movie, Four Jacks is not that good, but Hulme makes it watchable especially knowing he COULD be the Joker.

I chould traipse around town looking for them, but...

well, you know how it is.

Please, no perma-grin. If we get a perma-grin, I can tell there will be some angry fans, and i'll be one of them. Joker didn't have a permanent grin in the comics. He's capable of showing a full range of motion, it's just that a smile is his favorite. And what do you mean we've seen The Killing Joke Joker? When? Certainly not in Batman '89. Jack's Joker was far from the modern interpretation of the character (he was more similar to earlier interpretations). Joker as he's portrayed in modern comics (TKJ, TLH, Hush, etc) is my favorite villain of all time, so I want to see him portrayed on film as close to possible as he is in the comics. The Joker I know and love smiles because he's so insane he finds death hilarious, not because his face is stuck that way.

For me the essential things are:

He should be lanky (tall and skinny)

His hair should be gree or black with a green tint. Not bright green.

No perma smile but a wide grin when needed. Hulme, Law, Bettany and Weaving all have this locked.

Perma red lips are not essential. Lipstick could be used. I quite like the idea.

Bleached white skin like in Interview With The Vampire. Looks almost dead.

He should not have one set of clothes. I like the scene in TKJ when he's wearing shorts and a Hawian shirt. Purlpe suit could be used but is not essential.

Goons are not essential. I don't mind them but I would like him to just be this guy who pops out of nowhere and then vanishes.

I don't think my video store has them.

None of the stores had it where I am either, so I just bought it on amazon. I bought it new for about 6 dollars. So you could go that route.

He means we have seen the purple suit wearing, red lips, green hair and white face joker. He wants something thats not essentially in the comics, something different. I agree with this. I wouldn't mind it at all. However The Joker in B89 HAD a perma smile, so he's slightly wrong....but I know what he means.

Wouldn't that make you both in the wrong?

THIS IS THE JOKER! FEAR HIM! NOW!
