GODDAMMIT, SINGER YOU STUPID MOTHER****ER YOU ARE KILLING THE SUPERMAN FRANCHISE!!!! I supported this *****ebag in recreating the donner atmosphere for SR and I liked the new movie a lot but if he takes this direction with the new movie I will lose all hope of ever getting a modernized Superman.


P.S. I now these are just rumors, but just the thought of a complete redo of the old movies makes my blood boil.

i'm gonna wait till we have a bit more confirmation about this. if we will indeed get Zod then i gotta switch gears on how to approach this franchise. i should stop expecting a restart/ origin and expect nothin more than a remake of a 20 year old movie. perhaps then i could leave the theater happy instead of confused and underwhelmed.

Brainiac all the way... and I want Ralph Fiennes to play him. I swear... if they do Zod I will not see the movie, DAMMIT!!!! They already did it in the first sequel, and they're already doing the "Brainiac trying everything to bring Zod back storyline" in Smallville. DON'T BE REPETETIVE! Learn from your mistakes people. Keep the the things that were interesting about SR, get rid of the things that weren't and let's move on to add upon the characters.

I said this over a year ago, and it appears to be coming to fruition. Zod will be reawakened from his FOS slumber for part 2, and im absolutley thrilled. Cmon guys , there was way too much left unresolved between him and Superman. Round two of the battle royale is going to be intense. The second installment of this current run is the one thats going to score big. I love it.

Now, since Krypton is eradicated, Brainiac wishes to integrate and protect all Kryptonian life....including its apparent heir, Jason Lane!

Thus, Zod works like Harry Osborn did in Spider-Man 2. A manipulative villian alongside Luthor, who is the one who informs Zod of Superman's new fatherhood.

Technically, it could work very well. Very, very well. However, it'd put Superman I and II in a fairly solid continuity.

Plus, Zod could work very well with the whole idea of the sin's of the father being visited upon the son.

I like this idea. Personally I'm one of the guys in the minority who actually wouldn't mind seeing Zod battling Superman again. It would be better than Superman fighting what.....Doomsday? Come on. Zod is on par with Supes when it comes to power levels, and can actually say more than ''RHARR!'' so the potential for great visuals and an interesting bitter villain hellbent on revenge is right there.

Zod is one of the greatest revenge villains in history he has a story that leads from Krypton to planet Earth, hes a really dynamic villaina and deserves to come back again

I mean, technically speaking, it could be done. Let's look at X2:

We have our established characters from X1 returning. However, suddenly, there is a "new" villian, who is in fact an "old" villian that we've never met before and who has an extended history with Magneto and Xavier: William Stryker (i.e. Zod). William Stryker obtains from our hero group (i.e. Superman) some of their own technology, Cerebro (i.e. Brainiac) and turns it against them in a devestating fashion, thereby forcing old foes, perhaps even Lex Luthor, to join forces to stop the doom coming upon them.

I agree to not bring in Zod for the sequel. I dont think too many people would be interested because the casual fan will just say its the same 'ole Superman movies with different characters. If the sequel is a success, then I say go for it. Braniac gets my vote.

Superman Returns was not a huge blockbuster success and if Singer goes the Zod route, imo the sequel will make less money.

but this is a new series. And the Joker is Batman's most known rogue so to not have him in a new series would piss people off. It is expected. when people saw the card at the end of BB, most people reacted very positively.

this is different. Zod is one of Superman's most notorious rogues but There are other better ones.

You;re right we do need something new, but Zod is the perfect villain for the Krypton saga, he is the anti-superman, the only one with supermans powers and more but his values are different than superman, he likes power, and he also wants revenge on the House of El for imprisoning him in the Phantom Zone...

ala the Bruce Wayne series being cancelled because they wanted to make Year One a movie....
