Thor likes to drink and fight like any other Asgardian warriors. It's just that Hercules goes above and beyond that. He'll party with a hundred wenches.

Yeah, Balder in the first draft was much more like the mythological figure than the comic book character. Like in the myths he was older and married and he

was killed

Balder is not old. Having read Norse Mythology, he's the most noble and beautiful of the Norse Gods. That is why when he's killed there's this great sadness everywhere in the kingdom and it's the spark that starts Ragnarok, the war to end all wars and the end of days.

If he's killed it will probably be on the very last Thor movie.

If there's an old mythic God in the movie, it could be Heimdall. Because he's the guardian of Asgard and they could say he's been guarding the rainbow bridge for all eternity.

I've never watched Kyle XY, but judging from these pics I think she'll be an excellent Lady Sif. I'd love to see how Sif interacts with Nurse Foster (Portman).

They didn't cast a Sif that is buff. I guess that is why they got such a small Jane Foster for contrast.
